BMHater12, 17 Sep 2023I know eMMC and UFS, but what's uMCP? That looks new to meuMCP stands for UFS-based multichip package. It is a combination integration of LPDDR5 DRAM with UFS 3.1

BMHater12, 17 Sep 2023I know eMMC and UFS, but what's uMCP? That looks new to meuMCP is like a middle ground between UFS and eMMC. It's based on eMCP( eMMC+ low power DRAM). In layman terms, it performs better than eMMC and costs less. But it is not better than UFS storage

I know eMMC and UFS, but what's uMCP? That looks new to me

I wanted to ask the same as below, glad i am not the only one who sees it. This is just a worse, pointless version of Edge 40. Without the compact size, the whole point is lost. Perhaps only the battery is better, but doubtfully so much better. It is a huge disappointment for me - i was hoping for 30 neo with eSim and better modem(chipset). Not that anybody cares what I want, just felt the urge to shout it out. And last - there should be a special place in hell for the compact phone haters 😂

It's supposed to be a cheaper version of Edge 40. Plastic frame instead of aluminum. They gave up from compact size for Neo in this generation so it has the same size as it's older brother. The only reason to prefer this one to Edge 40 is to save money, because older brother is better by all means besides battery capacity.

If wireless charging is not important the neo seems like a great choice.

I'm disappointed because the previous neo was different and smaller. This just looks like a slab with Pantone colors and neo badge stick on it.

                    Another missed opportunity from Motorola

The Edge 40 Neo's display is Gorilla glass 3 according to the Motorola UK website.

And as Darlingyext has mentioned, the 30 Neo had a flat display.

It seems very good device on paper, but with 6000 mAh battery and 3.5mm jack, it wouldbe perfect, at least for my taste.

I planned to buy edge 40 and now here is the younger edge 40 neo.
                            Now, which to get?
                            Price is also similar:)

although i would prefer qualcomm's snapdragon any day.

I must advise people against buying this phone. It has the same brittle - albeit curved - display material as the one on the Edge 30 Neo. The second hand market is littered with Edge 30 Neos with cracked displays. These displays are extremely fragile and won't survive drops even from a negligible height of 10 cm. When I pointed out the fragility of Edge 30 Neo, Motorola deleted my review from their website. Don't do business with this company, for your own good.

I've tried 5.5 inch phones (also includes my Nokia 8 with a 5.3 inch display) and they are wider than the current ODM phones, with or without side bezels 👍

I still remember the time when 5.3 inches was the "awkward middle ground" while 5.5 inches was considered "phablet/notebook size", 4.5-4.7 inches was considered "compact" and 5 inches was the "average".
