This will be a nice entry-level Edge phone for the lower end of the midrange market. I mean IP68, a 144Hz Curved 10-bit OLED screen with 1300 nits of peak brightness, decent performance, a 5000mAh battery with 68W charging and decent cameras all for a 400€ price is pretty good.

Lapu lapu, 14 Aug 2023Wtf?!!! Dimensity 1050??!!!Dimensity 1050/7030 is few Dimensity chipsets that support mmWave 5G tech, because AFAIK, most MediaTek Dimensity chipset don't support mmWave 5G, something that's crucial in the USA market.

Only Edge 30 Neo doesn't have that capabilities because of Snapdragon 695.

[deleted post]Oddly enough for me this size would still count as compact, any phone feels small and not wide enough after having used the vivo X Note.

I'm completely fine with a 6.55" inch screen. I have big hands and my 6.4" phone is actually pretty good for me, maybe because of the 20:9 ratio but I don't think it's a big difference. But finally 4k on the edge Neo/Lite series

taylorswift13, 07 Sep 20231050 only does 1080pAccording to the Dimensity website the max video capture is 3840 x 2160 / Video Encoding FPS
4K @ 30FPS. This would go along with speculation that the Edge 40 Neo is a rebranded/updated camera bump version of the Edge 2022 which also uses the 1050 SOC and shoots in 4K

GsmArena specs seems to be wrong in some places. This below is so far the most trustworthy leak :
Motorola Edge 40 Neo 5G specs from Amazon Italy:
– 6.55″ FHD+ 144Hz pOLED display
– MediaTek Dimensity 1050
– 50MP + 13MP camera
– 5000mAh battery, 68W charge
– Android 13
– 12GB RAM, 256GB ROM
– NFC
– IP68
– 170g
Price: €399 (~₹36,300).
If true it loses to more expensive Edge 40 only in CPU horsepower. NEO wins in much bigger battery, plus with more memory 12/256gb. GsmArena's claim about 50mp OIS main camera video only 1080p which must be wrong since MD1050 is fully capable of 4K. Therefore it's at least possible that front- and UW cameras could also shoot in 4K as on Edge 40 but this we must wait for just a week or two when it's released.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2023Why did they have to go from 6.28" to 6.55"? Come... moreNot true. You know tech reviewers are like little children: "wow now I have a compact phone to play with, nice!". But they never actually start using one as their daily driver. And Asus Zenfone 10 actually flopped, read this:
