I just received the android 15 update for Motorola Edge 50 here in Italy. EU Model.
The update size is 1.51GB. Security update December 2024 included.
My phone works smoother overall .
No any other improvements till now . Maybe there is a bug in Smart Connect .

Eitherway their android os barely have bloat apps compared to the likes of samsung bloatedUI & mainly contains only Moto Apps that gives unique functionality like chop flashlight, etc. Otherwise it's close to stock android.
I have no issue with it being made in China & Ihave been a moto user since their Nexus days.

Gcam working good in night vision also in telephoto : AGC9.2.14_V14.0 .
For better night vision than above version , use the older : GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.1_Wichaya_V2.5

Just got this phone today. Coming from a Edge+ 2020 this doesn't really seem like an upgrade at all, but I needed a new phone since the older one was really beaten up. The cameras are very similar and the screen edges are not as sensible like in the older one, which sucks because they were nice to use as triggers in FPS games. Positive things is that like in the 2020 the screen replacements are very very cheap, like 1/5th of what other brands cost, so I can use it without worrying too much if it breaks, which is Nice because this will be pretty much a beater phone. Build Quality is amazing, feels like a proper high end device and the curved screen is something that other brands are not offering anymore, Motorola sure knows how to make good curved screens.

Stef, 11 Jan 2025How many years is the software support for EU version 12/51... moreIn Australia some reviewers have claimed it has 5 OS upgrades and 5 years security updates but this is not supported by anything on the Motorola AU web site. In fact, the AU support page states security updates will cease from July 2027 (3 years after release in July 2024).
The only Motorola site which states a support policy is the India site which says 2 OS upgrades (meaning Android 16 is the last) and 3 years security updates (to 2027).
In AU the Edge 50 was released at the same time as the Neo, which does have 5+5 support, and I think some people assumed this would apply to both phones.

Brands want to sell new devices ,so many software updates are bad ,make phone in some trouble.
My previous Motorola G pro was in Android one program , for 3 years monthly support ,
But updates stop 2 months earlier without notice. Latest software updates were bad too.
