Anonymous, 31 Aug 2024We will be waiting on battery life… I can already tell you that with medium to slightly heavy use I get through the day easily. With medium usage I have around 45% battery left and with slightly heavy use I have around 20% left which is much better than my 8a. The latter also gets through the day rather easily but by the end of the day it's time to charge if you don't have time to charge in the morning (I never charge at night).

I use a sturdy case which isn't ideal for heat dissipation and even then it doesn't get really warm. Not have been worried about that till now.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2024How’s the temp to use warm or cool? Read 8a heats to much d... moreI have not encountered any heat increase what so ever. My phone remains cool all the time. The usage includes a lot of online reading and streaming, some gaming but on lightweight games (so not representative for heavy gamers), social media stuff and normal interactions such as texting and calling. I'm still very happy with this purchase.

As Moto directly launched the phone after it was announced I think cover and screen protector makers just didn't have time to prepare.

I ordered cheap edge 30 neo screen protectors to wait for better ones.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024How's the battery life? Can't say it's too soon.
I'll put my SIM card in next week and use it for real

Strange thing though: I can't find the screen on time information within battery settings, it seems Motorola get rid of it!

Those were like the best ones. No idea why they got rid of motion sense, that was an awesome feature. For some reason now they think a temperature sensor is somehow an appropriate replacement??

I have bought the Moto Edge 50 Neo in red from Motorola but they have sent me the 256gb version even though I ordered 512gb and then said that they are sorry but don't sell the bigger storage version currently. I'm not sure if I'm going to send it back or not yet. Any ideas??

I also can't find covers and a screenprotector, or the delivery date is far away. It looks like they are not allowed yet and have to wait till a openings date from motorola.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024Guys need help narrowed down to 3 phones. 1. Pixel 8a 2.... moreEdge 50 Neo is, probably, your best option. That 18 W wired charging on the Pixel 8a... I mean, Galaxy A15, which is 3 times cheaper, comes with 25 W charging... Is it just me or Google seems to cut costs a little TOO much? I dunno... I just lost faith in Pixels, overall. The 7a is my last Pixel, unless the 9a launches at $ 399, which, as things seem to be going, is an impossibility.

when edge 50 ne come to india, and can anyone tell me approx price in inr?

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024Guys need help narrowed down to 3 phones. 1. Pixel 8a 2.... morePixel 8A will sure make better photos but cameras are not as versatile as the Edge 50 Neo. Bare in mind the P8A will also be much heavier and bulky.

S21FE is outdated excepted the SD888.

                          Edge Neo :
                          - better form factor
                          - better screen
                          - more ram and storage
                          - faster charging speed
                          - 15w wireless charging
                          - triple cameras
                          - android vanilla experience

                            Finally a normal size mid-ranger.
Was planning to buy Xperia 10 vi, but now I´m tempted to buy this Moto.

                              Got mine yesterday in Grisaille:
                              - very elegant phone in that colour, I was going for the poinciana but not in stock and very vibrant colour in the end. Grisaille is also gorgeous.
                              - feels super nice in.the hand, not slippery at all, not heavy at all.
                              - case is surprisingly qualitative..hard material that looks really good imo and very good feeling
                              - as large as my S24 and a bit taller but not an issue
                              - barely heats up during setup (app install and backup restore), night and day with my s24
                              - amazing screen, seriously
                              - not a single lag while using it
                              - cameras look promising based on very first pictures
                              - love all the hello UI tweaks and parameters

Still need to put a SIM card in it and make it my daily. Hard to find a screen protector at the moment...

I have the Edge neo for two days now and till now no real problems at all. It's a superb display, normal apps work fast, no lags and the photos look very good.
Motorola was new to me, so i had to puzzle some things, high res music did not work first but through the hiby app i could fix the usb port at 192 khz zo that works now.
I have a Google one abbo and magic eraser and other stuff should work in Google photos but it doesn't, maybe is that a Google issue and sometimes achter a update it wil appear?

A Metal frame, Gorilla glass 5(at least), UFS 3.1
                                    These make it a beast.

Most midrangers lock their refresh rate to either 144-120-90-60 Hz, whereas the LTPO on flagships can dial the refresh rate down to 10Hz or maybe even 1Hz. Huge energy savings.
