Beautiful screen. Battery life is incredible. Fits into my back pocket with ease. Takes very good pictures. Affordable. This phone is a gem. Only two minor complaints. Fingerprint reader sometimes takes a couple presses to unlock. Camera has a very short pause after clicking. I've read about all these complaints about the camera delay. I don't get it. Unless your some professional photographer who needs to take multiple shots quickly it's fine. It's way better than my F5 and my A52s were

Guys, is it true that there’s no difference between 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM? I mean, is it irrelevant? The 8GB version is much more affordable.

Hi, how low can you reduce the quality of the selfie camera on the Motorola Edge 50 Neo? What’s the minimum megapixels it can go down to? I don’t want my selfies to be too detailed, so I want to reduce the quality as much as possible. I currently have a Moto G54, and I was able to lower the quality a bit, though I’m not sure how low it can go.

Guys the volume controling panel is very bad. both in terms of kinesthetics and practicality.
The original stock Android volume panel was much better.
I currently have a G54, but I had the opportunity to try out the 50 neo

Anonymous, 19 Jan 2025Yes. No samsung, no moto, no xiaomi... hmm, vivo seem to be... moreVivo has stopped trading where I am right now (UK) and you cannot find iqoo phones either apart from maybe eBay or black market as an import. I will have to avoid those phones as software updates will be questionable.

Generally very nice compact phone. The size and low weight make it very attractive. Flat screen gives it lots more bonus points, and having flat means the edges are usable, so the small screen is effectively wider compared to silly curved ones.
So the screen is great, the battery life really is excellent (I didn't expect since it's quite small capacity).
I installed a third party launcher, largely to much improve home screen because the default four-icons across is so wasteful of space. Five across is a very easy fit.
Cameras I agree with reviews. Generally very good and the zoom is super handy.

I'm posting here mainly because the fingerprint reader is RUBBISH. Truly bad. This is the first phone I've had without a rear-mounted dedicated sensor (which on others, I've found to be faultless). I've re-done my prints countless times, added multiple copies of the same finger, tried scanning different fingers instead. I still find that 90% it just doesn't work and I waste real time messing with it about five tries before it gives up, then needing a six digit PIN. It can turn a near instant unlock and camera start into a ten second exercise. Several times I've turned the sensor off in frustration. I keep having a go now and then, re-training it, but it remains just plain bad and irritating.

We got Android 15 update today in Croatia, Europe. Don't know how it will be, on the first glance it looks okay, nothing special, december security update.

I used my Neo for a Zoom meeting yesterday and my face looked like it was sunburnt. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix? Gcam is great, but it doesn't use it for Zoom.

In Australia, we're still on Android 14 with the September patch. The Motorola Fix program says it's the latest. Very disappointing.
