Got the answer from Motorola Helpdesk. You cannot remove it so you are stuck with it.

the phone is good looking , bit not as good as razr ,
bad tech , only for clamshell lovers
                          not worth the cash

For me is enough to use new model like touchscreen, wifi, 3G, digital camera phone... I need a phone simple, a bit slim and the battery long life...
Now I am looking for M-GLEAM.
                            Any idea??

Marten, 09 Aug 2011Motorola Gleam is handy, good looking and has a decent batt... moreMy only disappointment has been to discover my Gleam doesn't use the software/Motorola tools I was using with the Peeble, an older version of flip phone. This meaning I can't upload my own ringtones, download the pictures taken from the phone, etc... Its small manual is also ridiculous. Beside that, a GREAT phone!

Motorola Gleam is handy, good looking and has a decent battery. Reception and Speaking quality are good.

But the issue is the software/firmware. The Gleam has a very rudimentary address book. It means you can save and use just one mobile phone number and just one email address. You cannot save any street addresses or community nick names.

Also you cannot update or transfer your contacts into the Gleam. And you cannot use Motorola Software with the Gleam, e.g. to update the software or manage contacts/programs.

The reason behind this is probably, because the Gleam is not a original Motorola product, it is a third-party product with the name motorola on it.
