Sony Ericsson is better then Moto, don't tell me you believe MOto is in good condition, they will be dead if they don't change their plan(I mean more smartphone, more fashion phone, exemple that Karma from them is ugly, Moto has to learn to make phone with great design) I am really sorry for them, I don't want for them to be dead. :(

Man when I saw the phone I thought it's one of the primitive hand held devices from the early 1990's.
Motorola your designer really sucks! Sure enough the features are nice but man this phone looks like a bath soap soaked in pure black unadulterated oil. Yuck!
Others say that this phone is built for those people who are always outside the office. Question is who are these people? Dont they ever get into an office and stay their to do their job.
Try to look and feel the market. Dont try to do it your way, you have been losing for the longest time. Help the market get what they want.

Ppl, it's a _rugged_ phone, not a smartphone for geeks like HTC Diamonds. The phone is very nice and enough for the most tasks, but
no HSDPA, that's why I'll stay away from it. Motorola, you don't have a brain. If this phone is used by the security who walks around a wifi-covered object, that's okay. But some people also move around the city. And outside the city where is 3G but no wifi networks at all. Why don't you think about this?

The specifications suggest, this one is a serious application based armor plated phone for those spending more time on field than in office, and those who need the unique barcode scanner etc. It’s an evolutionary model, suggesting the phone is much more than just a device to make voice calls, browse net, click pictures, play media, and find your way (GPS).
This actually re-opens up the industrial grade build quality in cell phones. Phone like this could be held up against the bandwagon lot like, hum-V in cars / G-shock in watches / Swiss army knife.
Not sure if this product will be a big-hit in the market, but it will surely last forever with those who get to buy it.
Also it opens up a niche segment. We could have so many more things in our phones:
Temperature / humidity / air pressure sensors,
Magnetic compass,
Ultrasonic ranging,
Infra-red vision,
Speed radar detection
