A:Well the phone doesnt get fast enough like for you to notice a change, so if you wanna have Wi-fi hotspot, apps2sd and slow flash support (unless overclocking) try froyo else stay at eclair

For all those who keep whining about this problem and that problem go get an iPhone. This is a REAL phone and as such you have to treat it like one. I've had this phone over 6 months now and haven't experienced half of the problems i've seen posted here. My solution get some know-how, root the phone and mod the heck out of it. ktnxbai

Pathetic. Re-boots itself many times, hangs during calls, battery life doesn't last more than 3 hours, if you use all the functionalities provided, the battery lasts for one hour. Terrible camera. Email client is not push and the email clients available in android market are buggy. I am now using it as a navigator ( the motonav) provided along with it. Avoid.

My milestone is just going on and off like every 15 seconds. I hope this is just a manufacture defect on this piece of device and not the whole stock. My phone have never been dropped. Let me know if anyone experiencing this problem. I had it now for 3 and a half months.

now i got the update this phone is amazing. i bought it 6 month back and touch is very good and its really durable handset.Buy it from axiom telecom select city walk saket bcz they provide 1 year extra warranty and 1 year theft accidental damage insurance and pick and drop services for delhi and NCR..the staff is really good...i bought from there..

I have this with official 2.2.1 ,then I installed androot app
To use milestone overclock 1.2ghz(without rooting via custom rom) and now I'm satisfied with it, as I compare to my bro HTCdesire . Just don't forget to install advance task manager and 'autokiller'named app. And don't forget to kill or close app that you are not using to enjoy .because, on low ram but nice having powerVR graphics.

Note:u mst have Internet connection when upgrading the Android version....

I wish there was someone who'd buy my Milestone or trade it off...i want a bigger display...i had it updated to 2.2. and rooted it.The way I see it,its not much of a bad phone if you put aside the price.

The compromised phone. The bad phone. The phone doest give customer satisfied. Its the motorola milestone. The phone "with" compromised yet expensive.

Well the 2.2 update was running nicely after a full reset, was quick and responsive. Then I went to my nephews birthday party this weekend and realised the video camera no longer focuses at all! The camera does focus on a soft press, but the quality seems to have deteriorated over what I got with 2.1.
If you value the video camera, stay away from 2.2. They make us wait a year then release something that is a step backwards. I'm so glad I only have 4 months left on my contract, I wont be buying a Motorola again.

I wrote in to check and chinese input method is incompatible with android 2.2 .
I think Motorola android phone are USA and europe langauges oriented only .
I think we Asian better purchase asian brand like HTC , LG and samsung android phone and Iphone4 .

do rooting really helps on bases of speed of the phone.
my milestone 2.2 update is slower then 2.1.

milestone is a rubbish phone(compared to other android handsets),im getting my motorola Defy today,this thing is laggy n unresponsive,sumtimes the screen will operate itself..it seriously has a mind of its own.iv tried updating to froyo but here in South Africa we not getting the update..the cheaper Defy is faster n has alot less issues,wont even hand this phone down to my little sister,il throw the damn thing away..
