Don't see the H company would ever be so genorous to offer anything below US$500 as a new Android phone these days, unless being mid-end.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2011The HTC desire is far more expensive than this phone from w... moreim quite sure the Desire Z is around the same price, i heard that Desire Z cost less than the old milestone in Manila, a guy i know paid 28k for his Milestone and someone else recently bought a Desire Z for under 25k.
The difference in GPU performance is big enough to be a deciding factor for ppl who plan to play upcoming game titles. Plus the Desire Z looks great =)

I guess once tegra 3/M3 come out, he'll think its better to wait for tegra 4/ M4..
In Kuala Lumpur, Desire Z has been released for about 3 months & i was very interested in it, yet kept waiting for M2.
Now, a week after using it, I must say it is really worth it.

great specs, nice design, metal case, gorilla glass, full qwerty, crystal talk tech and 'a good idea' motoblur. Absolutely my dream smartphone. But I'll just keep it there, in my dream lol. Best phone, in my humble opinion

The GPU is very weak compared to HTC Desire Z (adreno 205). Milestone2 has same GPU as Nokia N900, and while thats an excellent GPU its still slow compared to newer GPUs.
Plus the HTC is better looking and whatever. IMO theres many reasons to get the Desire Z instead of this.

Well nice review by team GSMARENA.... This phone is really very great in many aspects but there is some drawbacks in this phone which moto needs to take care of. First they hav forgot to include secondary camera and FM; i know most of people dont need secondary camera but since 3G is now available in many countriew of world nw, so secondary camera will be really handy, and more over many apps can also use it, and mayb in future even most of the games will take use of it.......'internal memory can only be used for installing apps'!!!!! Moto u got to be kiddiiing meee, i hope guys at xda developers finds a way out of this.
And i thnk i shud leave my plan of purchasing this phone and wait for 'Milestone3' which can have all the spec of atrix with some upgraded feature of atrix, (like tegra3d processor or tegra3 quad core processor), and reatain the looks and qwerty keypad of milestone series, hope moto makes this phone.....

I don't know about video calls popularity, but secondary camera can be used at applications like fring as I reffered.

I am considering taking out a contract for this phone - it is very difficult to find a phone which is well priced in South Africa and has a physical qwerty keyboard). I believe there is an offer for R220 a month which comes with R100 airtime per month with mtn. The price of an xperia mini pro is R100 a month with the same R100 of airtime per month. Considering the huge price premium (R120!) do you think it would be worth choosing this phone over an xperia mini pro?
The way I see it is that the R120 extra per month would be for the screen, the processing speed and the ability to use this phone as an ebook reader for my college notes.

The big disadvantage is the battery life!!
every other features are fantastic but the battery life seriously is a turn-off & a big deal breaker.
Motorolla you could have done better...!!!
