Gingerbread's thrust is video call and this phone doesn't have a front facing camera? Looks like the execs of Motorola has been too busy enjoying their earnings that they're not aware of what's happening in the Android landscape.

For all reasons, why would you buy an N8 over this phone? OS itself is years ahead of dying Symbian. This phone rocks!!!

Symbian is old indeed but one thing it does good and that is multitasking. One a 1:1 comparison between N8 and SGS, the SGS is initially faster. However if 3 tasks are opened simultaneously, the N8 is about equal in speed and by 5 tasks is quiqer. By 10 tasks the Android literally crawls while the N8 is only slightly slower the it was with one task. I have opened 23 tasks on the N8. Needles to say my SGS comes to a halt/crash if I even try to open more then 15 tasks. OK, I understand, it depends what this tasks are and here where symbian is so damn streamlined. But one day Android will win in this aspect too :-)

Galaxy S will eventually lag as you increase your number of widgets and install more applications. :)

Y choose N8 n compare wt those list of phone? N8 r hopeless in web browser n outdated resolution/cpu... if u want to snap photo mainly maybe u can consider, other than that big no no to n8...
