I bought this 2nd Gen Moto E a couple of months ago. It's been one problem after another. A huge mistake. The latest is a complete fail of my texting. It was only restored after literally several hours of research and the help of a live Tech Support Supervisor.
I had to perform a hard reset to help restore texting, but before I did, I followed VZ's instructions and used "Backup Assist Plus" to backup my contacts. The app reported that my phone was compatible with the app and backed up my contacts.
Then it proved impossible to restore them using the app, or finding out otherwise how to do so from VZ's website.
The VZ website support was virtually worthless - I couldn't find any simple, direct instructions for using Backup Plus. In fact, there appears to be little in the way of Moto E support. Most searches directed me to Moto X, the prior platform with increasingly dissimilar features and presentation.
Overall, a very poor experience with both this Motorola product and Verizon. I'm going back to Iphones and ATT. Never thought I'd say that.

can't play 1080p videos after updating to lollipop. In KitKat it worked smoothly in hw decoder. Now it's showing not supported

dear moto e users..........
moto e excellent mobile in indian market, anybody dont know doubt about it,, but recently i have updated with lollipop...........
there are no.of problem in it ,, i feel vey much why i hav updated it,,,,
after update user memory is very low about 1gb..it is running very slowly,battery drains very fast
plz dont go for updatess
stock os is very excellent...

Yay got lollipop 5.1 update works very well thank you Motorola
