Since it is running on Android Marshmallow, it doesnt allow the external SD card to use the same way as old Android does. It will ask whether we have to use portable/Internal storage
if you select Portable storage , you can remove the card often, or you can use the card in other mobiles.
if you select Internal storage, you contents will be fomatted and your internal storage size will increase by the size of memory card, and it cannot the used in other mobile. Your memory card should be as fast as internal memory, else you can feel the lag in the device.

This OTG problem continues.. first charging defect now its not recognising my WD hard drive., But the very first time it did.

Mine is only 3 days old. So i think if i press for an exchange they surely will because the issue is there.

Hope u R in 6.0? Because lot of web info says moto e3 is on 6.0.1 , but it's not

I think if we get 6.0.1 update things will be solved., But don't know when they give us the update:-(
Come on MOTO , u already said we (motoe3) are not eligible for Nougat 7 update, atleast please give us the stable 6.0.1😒
