Very Bad Motorollo Handset , One should avoid buying this handset. ,If there is fault in the Handset when we give the handset for repairing in service center, they take more than 2 months for diagnose the problem, also tell your handset will be not repaired in warranty

very limited service center, for identifieng the problem they take more than a month and also tell the Handset is Internal Damage , but from ouside they already verified while collecting the device. very bad service of motorollo. literally they make cry to the customers , if is having any problem in warranty time.

I have Moto E 2nd generation XT1511 proto. I cannot connect to 3G (H+). I even select 3G in phone settings. When i on SIM Data service it shows E (EDGE) and I am in 3G support area also.
I also try code *#*#4636#*#* , when i enter code, code disappears but nothing happen.

I bought this phone about 8 months ago...this phone shows So much problems Like Software prblm like some apps wouldn't work properly....and it is Too hang. ..don't buy this phone...Specifications Pretty sometimes music player wouldn't work...Had software prblm 2 times..Worst phone don't buy.........!!

Any saying this is worst phone ever are either working for competition, lying or highly unlikely yet possibly received a bad batch.
Purchased more than 50 of these at Best Buy, USA Black Friday outright for $9.99
Have been using several myself every day since and passed out several -
A couple have had problems loosing the SD card - can just get a replacement.
Some LCD panels are better than others - some are beautiful but some have a yellowish tint. A color corrector fixes that mostly.
Apart from the SD car Not a single time has one had a problem like freezing.
a few have been slammed on cement, travertine and granite tiles and some have flown more than 30 feet onto cement (horizontally while user tripped) so far all have fallen on the back and one on top left edge - none on the screen.
There is no visual or usage difference noticeable between those that have fallen and those that haven't and those that haven't even been used (not passed out yet).
This is an amazing and cheap phone.

I have purchased 5 Motorola phones over the last 2 years, 2 moto g 1st gen which I gave to my parents, a moto g 2nd generation on which I landed on smashing the screen but it still works and two Motorola moto e phones which I use. All of the phones have given me hours of useful service. With regards to all of the phones they never hang, they connect quickly to the telephone network, their wifi connections are brilliant and they make excellent wifi hotspot connectors.
I would like to try a true 4G offering as one of the local telephony providers is providing 4G data speeds of up to 60mps and future offerings (currently being trialed in London) of 150mps both of which would make my landline broadband connection of 60mps redundant!

Not sure why the hate but I think this is a pretty good phone. Just updated to Android 6.0 (XT1527) and everything works fine. The camera WB is good. While the image quality is inferior to Samsung S4, it is by no mean awful. To most who only view them on the phones, the difference is moot. Also, LED flash is awful in practice so the lack of it is not a deal breaker although it can be handy as a flashlight. The screen is sharp, colour is warm and the viewing angle is good. Everything seems snappier than Android 5. The biggest surprise is that external SD can be formatted as an internal memory (but cannot be read by computers on card reader). That means if you put a 64GB SD in it, you will get a single 72GB internal memory which can be accessed by all apps. It even shows up as a single memory in file manager apps.
The only con is that this phone can't be rooted (or none that I am aware of). That means I can't install AdAway or erase any system apps that I don't use. However, since I have 72GB internal memory in practice, the latter is moot so I just disable them. As to reliability, only time will tell.
