Better than iPhone... Excellent Google phone and very cheap with top notch hardware...software

Is moto G better than HTC One X/X plus? I love the sense 4/4.5 UI very much so I cant think of any other phone than htc One x/x plus.I dont mind if it doesnt get kitkat update like moto g. Doesnt it support all apps/games that moto g do as well?

The phone seemed to be alright at first but recently me and my friends who bought the cell, upgraded it to android 4.4.2 kitkat and problems have followed it since then. It switches to airplane mode automatically and gives all kind of network problems. Switching off and on used to help at first but now it doesn't. Please suggest a solution for this.

sSs™, 12 Mar 2014water resistant? where did you learn that from? from youtub... moreYou will feel stupid once you go on Google and search for Moto G water text and see that the phone can last 30 minutes in the bath tub for no damage and still working perfectly but Motorola doesn't call it water resist but it is almost that. Moto G or the Moto X doesn't need to cover the USB charging because the technology Moto use can take water for no damage the circuit are well protected against water but the phone isn't waterproof like the Moto Defy with IP 14 but the have water rappel protection.

Actually have been upgraded on 4.4 Kit kay for over a month with no issues,
Battery Life is excellent, can use it up to 2 days , screen is bright and I really find this phone is just right for me, all apps load without lag, and the phone is at a bargain price for sim only (Which I bought)
Can recommend this phone to anyone who wants a decent android phone for a decent price

as said earlier the manufacturer never claims that the phone is water resistant, it may have nano coating that helps resist small amount of water, someone called Erica Griffin tried it and found the phone to be functioning after submerging it to the water however as the blogs says do not try it yourself without risking your phone to be damage do it at your own risk, meaning they do not vouch the phone to be really water resistant, it just that motorola applied nano coating on the phone to resist water in small amount.

AnonD-1846, 12 Mar 2014You are full of lies, call quality is good and the battery... morewater resistant? where did you learn that from? from youtube? peers? colleagues? what is the IP certification level of the phone then? can you kindly try to put your phone in the bathtub and tell me if it is ok? the charging usb port below the phone is not even covered water will surely go inside the power port as it has no cover flap for it.

dis... moreYou are full of lies, call quality is good and the battery is 24hours with moderate use. But The camera quality is not good but acceptable and compare to the Nokia X the are so comparable and all have 5 MP.
Still more advantage for the Moto G:
Lastest OS Android 4.4.2
Water resistant
Quad core CPU
Highest PPI
Almost pure Android OS
Edge to Edge screen
Google store better than Nokia store.
Better price and you can get it even second hand.

You just need to restart your phone.
There is no issue with it after ant updation in your moto g u need to re start the phone.

alot of bugs. in kitkat os
camera quality becomes poor in kitkat compared to jellybean os.

Praveen, 12 Mar 2014Is this phone water resistant...?? please let me knowno it's not water resistant, although some people claims that they saw it on youtube video it is not really water resistant, it may be able to take some water in, some phones are able to handle a little water, but don't take it for granted as your phone may malfunction after diving it/putting it in water. the company never advertise the phone to be water resistant.

A very good phone but it... moreit's too bad, as it is an accidental damage the manufacturer or retailer won't be held responsible for your broken device, they can repair it but they will charge you. and anyways they never advertised the phone to be water proof in the first place, so it is just normal for it to malfunction after diving in the bucket of water.
