I wish now that I had stayed on Android 4.3, it had a longer battery life and of course OTG.

in my opinion 11 gb out of 16 gg would be enough for a normal user considering the fact that he/she doesnt fill it up with unnecessary files
for ex i use a xperia neo v
very backdated device
since i am an advanced user i have rooted it and installed a custom rom now it has got few cool features of xperia z
so for an advanced user he/she can root moto g (kitkat)and i am sure there must be some way to enable it

You may not need after sales services at all. I have been using Motorola Backflip for last 3.7 years and till now there hasnt been a single issue with the phone, Neither in software nor hardware. I would mention that I have dropped my phone even while speeding my bike at 80KMPH on Eastern Express Highway and this phone didnt even shutdown. Must say Moto is the Father of Mobile communication

What about service centers? Are there Motorola service centers in India which are still operational, if not then it's quite a risk even at this price.

I used hell lot of phones in my life.......... but after buying this phone for just 12499/- and started using it for few days, it simply rocked me....Unbelievable quality and specs which is not only on the paper but on the hand it works like a flash...... Love this phone and 5 Star for Moto G

Moto build quality are the best and this phone is the King of Android phone at the moment in GSMarena the most popular phone.

They are better than Moto G in Camera, Internal memory but cost at least twice as Moto G (looking at the last available price in flipkart). They are simply not in the same price bracket to be compared. Looks like you are a HTC fanboy. Why restrict yourself to One X/X+? Why don't you compare HTC One or One Max with Moto G and write rubbish about Moto G?

If you are buying 8 GB one only 5 GB memory is available for user ...
16 GB only 11 GB is available for user ....
If you need more GB go for 16 GB one ....
