I won't deny this is a great phone indeed; however, lately my unit is having an issue which has grown into a major problem for me. Long story short, it constantly shuts down by its own, regardless of what I'm doing and usually after the battery drops below 50%. It first started to happen only while I was watching videos on YouTube or Facebook, now it happens no matter what I'm doing. I want to think this is a software defect that could be resolved with the Nougat update, but this is becoming a highly frustrating experience and I've done everything I could think of: Factory Reset, tested on safe mode and it still happened, wiped cache partition, did hard Reset, tested using only pre-installed apps, attempt to flash custom ROM (unsuccessful because I have the Amazon variant and the bootloader can't be unlocked) ... I feel out of options, I love Moto phones, but after this experience I will really think twice before buying another one. Has someone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

The Moto G4 was supposed to get android 7 nougat last year but was put back to this year. Then it was supposed to be released by the end of February 2017 but it's still not here. No doubt we'll get fobbed off with another supposed realise time again soon. Like the saying goes don't count your chickens before the hatch.

I live in a gated apartment complex. My visitors have to call my phone from a box so I can buzz them in from my phone but I don't know how to get the numbers up to do this after it rings. Does anyone out there know how?

so I have connected this phone to the Bluetooth in a scoda rapid and it wont let me access the contacts via the car, it is saying there is no numbers attached to the contacts? can somebody help?

Has anyone in the UK and/or Ireland (especially in Ireland) seen any sign of the Android 7.0/7.1 Update for their Moto G4 yet? I'm getting bored waiting for it and sick of the empty promises of it coming to the phone..

There are at least 2 websites who say this Is by far the best phone for price out and I agree.
Now is it possible you got a bad phone? If so in two days u should of took it back not complain how bad it is

please think many times before buying this phone are motto phone ,i bought this phone 2 month back ,by seeing the review ,after got deliver frm Amazon i realized hw big mistake i did, i used this phone for 2 days frm next day it is servicing center til date,1st time it was software issue they took 20 days to check but end the didn't resolve

rickkk, 22 Feb 2017whats a compass sensor do?A compass sensor will help you locate a lost compass I recently misplaced my compass an was unable to draw a circle so I used my phones compass sensor which indicated the lost compass was in the drawer. I retrieved my compass from the drawer and was able to draw circles again. I only wish this phone had a built in pencil sharpener too 😄

Can someone tell me what dual sim card means to the phone, I got ths phone and love it. Its the best cheap phone out, I don't know if its worth 150 but I paid 90 and felt it was worth it, Before you get into processing speeds with all phone know how fast your connected, I almost sold this phone cheap before I tried it at target and it was very fast on their wifi, I went to my cable got a new modem and ROUTER and now this phone is very good, and pretty fast, The camera is amazing, Someone said on you tube it wasn't? they are lying, This is best phone I ever used the display is great, the speaker is loud and have no issues with call quality or overheating, that's the Gods honest truth, You can't get a phone under 90 bucks this good, Get it on sale

Windows, iOS and BBOS use far lesser ram than android. I have Windows phone working smoothly at 512mb system RAM.
Moto phones are better choice since it works on near vanilla Android,hence ram consumption is not huge( when compared to other bloated Android OS)
