There is Moto display feature.

Moderate social networking.
WiFi always on, Bluetooth on for whole night. Used led flashlight for approx 3 to 5 min

But it's good if not the best
Lack of OIS creates problems in low light and also for videos.
But if you maintain a steady hand it works.
Even Google Pixel doesn't have OIS, it has EIS, but still is regarded as one of the best camera in mobile phones due to its software processing making use of gyroscope sensor to compensate for hand shakes.
Low light pics with Moto g5 plus are not great but not bad either.
So the camera in Moto g5 plus is best for the price you are paying for.
As for Ram management I feel it's not a problem. I won't say that it's poor. Again not the best, but good.

Reason why I bought Moto g5 plus over Lenovo P2
1. Camera is definitely better, better hardware but not so great software post processing.
Its not the best camera in mobile phones, but in the price bracket it's really good.
I use my mobile camera a lot. So for me it's was an important factor.i wanted the best for what I was paying for.
2. Android Updates : some people don't care about updates, reason why I do is it makes a phone feel new and I can use it for 6 to 8 months more before it shows signs of hanging or poor RAM management and force stops. I like to use my phone as long as possible and like to use new versions of software.
Also not to forget the importance of security patches.
Sometimes update is like a gamble because it may bring bugs and your phone my be compatible but not capable to make full use of the update.
Some people don't care for updates like my Father, who will have to learn new things again if the update brings changes in the launcher. So it's ok if the phone is not updated for him even if security updates and firmware updates are actually important
So to answer ur question, Moto g5 plus is not the only best budget phone
I feel Lenovo P2 is also great
It boils down to what you want to do with your phone.
If media consumption is more important battery is needed.
Personally I think I can buy a power bank to increase the battery, but I cannot do anything for smartphone camera if it's bad
So I bought Moto g5 plus because it ticks all the right boxes for me.

Almost al reviews I have read considers the Moto G5 Plus as probably the best budget smartphone out there. Apart from some issue. Another common complaint (apart from the poor memory managment discussed here) is the seemingly bland camera photo quality, poor low light (due to not having OIS) and the erratic laser autofocus. Any thoughts please.

But my inquisitive nature wanted me to test the turbo charging time and also to help other Moto g5 plus users and potential buyers to make their decision by giving my hands on experience.

Total 130 minutes
In 55 minutes 51% charging was done.
I feel that's good. 51% can get me thorough the day with moderate usage.
In 75 minutes 68% was charged.
Now will also test screen on time
