BTW real world usage...
Yesterday I started my day 10 am with 87 %
After 15 hours, at 1.00 am, battery was 0%
To give an idea of usage:
Asphalt for approx 1 hour, YouTube 1 hour approx,
Web browsing 10 tabs open, moderate social networking,
Clicked 4 pics , 1 video with camera, edited 2 pics in Lightroom.
Brightness level little more than minimum.
My device is Made in China.
I don't know if that makes a difference.
I had posted a question here about the difference in made in China and Made in India model.
I wonder how u guessed that my phone is different I am curious to know

These are not actual problems. It's just that it's not customizable.
You can use a launcher to get rid of these.
There are so many launchers where u can customize
PS. I also didn't like the Google search bar in my old Moto G2nd gen.
So I tried go launcher, solo launcher, Apex,Apus, Nova , clean UI on my old Moto G2nd gen
Go launcher is a bit heavy RAM user.
So I got solo..Which I liked ..Used quite some time. It has nice gesture support.
Got bored so used clean UI, just to get a change to iOS feel
Used Apus. .It's good as it doesn't use much RAM as they advertise. .It makes folders automatically...Which i didn't like too much.but it uses less RAM and is not very customizable.
TSF was really good. It was completely different with excellent animations. But again RAM user. Still I used to like it very much
After all these, I ultimately used stock Google now launcher.
The thing is though it doesn't have a lot of animations, features, customizations, it doesn't slow your phone and uses less RAM to keep it for other apps
So in my Moto G5 plus i am using stock launcher. I don't care very much of the Google search bar, sometimes it is useful.
I have gotten used to Google app when u swipe right from home screen.
And I use Google Assistant quite a lot.
So it's your preference.

there are 2 things wrong with this phone.
1. cant move or delete google search on main screen.
2. Cant move home screen at all.

I'm still RAM management is poor as apps tend to reload.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2017I've heard that video recorded from moto g5 plus has a lot ... moreYes it is true...Lot of background noise. I read in somewhere that there is been a release of update to fix this issue in Brazil. Not released in India yet.
Temporary solution before update is to download opencamera app. from play store. go in video settings, select audio channel, select mono. This will reduce background noise. But it will also reduce the audio output from the video.
This is not the best solution. But that's the only available one if the background noise is bothering too much. I tried with open camera, but the audio was too low. So right now I am using normal camera app.

... moreI own a moto g5+...It took around 1 hr for charging from 60% to 100% with air plane mode...It takes around 30 min to charge from 90% to 100%.... I started charging my phone around 9 am and it took some 1hr 45 min to charge from 24 to 100...which around 11am fully charged and my usage was watching videos on youtube and using fb insta and some web browsing which lasted till 6pm and my battery was around 62%

its normal while turbocharging. 20 to 80 % charge with airplane mode off takes 40 to 45 min.
80% charge goes throughout the day.
Today's experience.
Phone charged till 87% at 10 am
Charge is 49 % at 6pm.
Brightness level little more than minimum
Usage was mostly web browsing. Instagram, camera 4 pics,
If you want the fastest charging phone, OnePlus 3t is better.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2017Hey in ua last post u said that by putting ua phone to airp... more Honestly I haven't recharged from 0 to 100% I charge when the phone is at 20% up to 80% and switch off once in 3 days to increase battery longetivity .I haven't checked with a timer but 20 to 80% it takes around 40 to 45 min.
Though To Answer your question
users who have tested from 0 to 100% have reported full charge in 2 hours. 0 to 30 % takes faster ....Around 20-25 min. 30 to 90% takes around 1 hour more. So charging from 0 to 90% takes around 1 hour 30 min approx. Further 90 to 100 takes more time.
Hope I have answered your question, though not from personal testing.
