good value for money choice, does all basic things in a good level. nevertheless my moto gain a serious problem after some updates on lollipop. Lost its initially good headspeaker volume during calls and after hard resets, nothing changes. Repair service replaced speaker and updated it to android 6 but volume remain to low. Serious problem for a phone!!!!

I'm using the phone since one month, the phone is pretty awesome. I update it last week & I got battery problem but now after a week it's working fine. I have done a factory reset, after M update lots of app are not working fine because they all need update also. l uninstall my all unnecessary crap like speed booster, battery doctor or other apps they only consume battery. now it's giving me 4.5-5 hours screen on time with heavy uses, and a good 1 day backup with my daily uses. I request plz charge your phone when it goes down to 25-20% or plz plug out after 100% immediately. it keeps your battery or phone healthy. you can battery optimisation for apps it's also save battery.
after update that was only one problem with me but it's now gone. M update gives me lots of other feature. I noticed the camera shutter sound control is missing but when I search I got it's a legal fact so it's not a defect. The phone is damm impressive & smooth after update... so believe yourself & update, I guess you will face a little bit problem but after uses of few days you feels awesome. good luck. sorry for my last disfavour comment to M update. Now I'm simply loving my moto.

1)Phone gets warm (not hot) while browsing, using camera especially while recording videos....The warmth doesnt make the phone uncomfortable to hold.
2)Low light photos are grainy. Of course we can't expect a powerful and very capable sensor in this price range.
3)Excellent day light images and videos.
4) Battery: Moderate usage - 5 to 5:30 hours of screen on time
heavy usage- 4:15 to 4:45 hours of screen on time
5) NO LAGS or STUTTERS due to near stock android. More RAM is available. So smooth and good multitasking experience.
6)Loudspeaker sound is loud but lacks crispiness. Excellent audio quality via earphones (if you have the right pair).
7)No issues with reception or call quality.
8) Gaming- Plays asphalt 8 very well in medium graphics setting. Dont expect it to run NOVA 3 smoothly.. This phone is not suitable for high end games.
PLEASE DO A HARD RESET AFTER YOU RECEIVE THE MARSHMALLOW UPDATE. HARD RESETTING THE PHONE IS NECESSARY FOR SMOOTH FUNCTIONALITY. JUST GOOGLE HOW TO DO THAT. 5 MONTHS, NO MAJOR COMPLAINTS.
A HAPPY MOTO G3 USER :)

How do I downgrade my Moto G3 from Marshmallow to Lollipop?
I recently upgraded my device to android 6.0 Marshmallow from Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. I have serious battery draining issues and camera isn't working. I wanna downgrade to Lollipop without rooting the device. Is it possible ? Should I restore factory settings as Lollipop was the stock version ?...
if u r buying dont buy nw...

Hi guys,
Just received my Moto g 3rd gen on 23/2.
Even after full charge it shows 99%,
The battery drains by 5% in half an hour, even when I have not inserted sim or anything, brightness id at 0 level, WiFi Bluetooth all is is of. Just kept the phone on.
Is it fine or should I replace it.

AnonD-471208, 24 Feb 2016You should ask for a replacement phone, or your money back.... moreNope I am from South Africa. I ordered the phone through Orange Online Store.
I am returning the device for a refund as they have a 14 day money back policy. The only bad part is that the shipping costs are at my own expense.
It's such a pitty that I have to return it as it would otherwise have been an excellent phone... :(

i bought this phone on Sept 11 2015 at first this phone worked excellently but the performance is degrading exponentially like heating problems, without touching the screen some options will automatically go inside ( severe touch issues) but it has excellent camera and battery life is also good and i upgraded to Android 6.0 regarding the touch issue i contacted customer care they told me give it to B2X service centre yesterday i gave my phone there i dont know whether this hardware problem will resolve or not?

Graf, 24 Feb 2016Anyone on here notice that the phone charge slowly after 6.... moreI haven't upgraded to Marshmallow 6.0 yet in UK with Moto G 3rd Gen. 2015, XT1541 yet but will be doing so soon.
I have just realized why when you have installed up to Marshmallow 6.0 from Lollipop 5.1.1 why the performance is slower:
From what I read when I carried out research before buying Moto G 3rd Gen. 2015, XT1541 it takes time for battery power to even out and probably a similar thing happen also with changing the operating system.
For example rearranging the register and where things are stored and removing other things will slow down the performance in the short term but should be faster in the medium and long term.
Each time things are deleted it leaves fragments in computers and smartphones untill they have been removed.
I use Advanced Mobile Care to get rid of fragmentations from my Moto G 3rd Gen. 2015, XT1541: It is safe and free - I disabled the security part, because I use Norton Security.
If you want a free security software to use with your phone the bestwebsite probably is the following to use;
https://www.av-test.org/en/
AV-Test.org Security:

garry, 22 Feb 2016I am looking forward to buy Moto G 3rd gen. But I have hea... moreIt shouldn't heat-up.
It also appears that only people in India are having these various problems
www.youtube.co.uk and maybe www.youtube.com
Contact your local Motorola, which ever country you live in:
http://www.motorola.com/sites/country-selector/index.html
What I would do is buy from a re-seller that I can trust, because it appears that the problems are maybe from counterfeit products, because the various problems shouldn't be happening.
If any person or organization have done a review I would go by their recommendations to who or where to by Motorola G 3rd Gen. 2015, probably XT1550 if you live in India.

punith, 24 Feb 2016i had planned to buy today...but a shiity review all over
I have just read some the reviews, but something is wrong.
There actually shouldn't be that many problems.
It seems that either India has received a bad batch, or the phones appear to be counterfeit, but something is seriously wrong.
What should happen is that everybody should state what the model number for the phones purchased are for example; XT1550, XT1541, and XT1540, and where did they purchase each phone from.
They should contact Motorola and ask for a replacement or refund, or and ask the manager of the store (re-seller) who sold them the phones for a replacement or refund.

APSINGH , 24 Feb 2016I am superb mobile in resonable price,
but its very big d... moreResearch carried out before purchased and since purchased maybe about August/September 2015 verified that Moto G 3rd Gen. 2015, XT1541 shouldn't have an overheating problem.
I used especially reviews done using games on Moto G 3rd Gen. 2015 for; XT1541 UK, XCT1540 USA, and XT1550 India: www.youtube.co.uk
If you are using MicroSDHC then it also depends on the quality of the card, I use a genuine SanDisk Ultra 32GB MicroSDHC card, and SanDisk Ultra 64GB USB 3.0 USB OTG.

AnonD-506456, 23 Feb 2016i am having moto G2 i just upgraded from android lollipop t... moreBest advice contact Motorola, because some of your settings should be changed, and if you aren't using some features than switch them off, Marshmallow 6.0 in theory should be faster than Lollipop 5.1.1.
