dam, 24 Feb 2016Bit strange though a phone such as the Motor G 2nd gen can ... moreMost people forget the iPhone 5, and the early iPhone 6 were excellent, despite only having 1GB RAM.

Marshmallow will increase the 8GB ROM (User Memory only about 4GB) ROM to 40GB ROM (User Memory = about 32GB (e.g. SanDisk Ultra (speed as well as memory matters)) ROM.

The best way to speed up a computer (including a smartphone) is to write the computer program (Application) much better (much higher, 'Hit (efficiency) Rate').

Than increase; memory, processor, graphics card/chip etcetera.

If they programmed Marshmallow 6.0 properly then 40GB (user Memory = 32GB) + SanDisk ULtra 64GB (User Memory = 56GB) USB 3.0 OTG = 104GB (User Memory = 88GB) ROM that could enabled some of the memory to be sacrificed to at least significantly increase its performance - the latter USB OTG upgrade wasn't done, because Google probably doesn't believe in SD drives - Stupid idiots.

Just think what could be done with the latest technology of 2TB SDXC drive.

You should ask for a replacement phone, or your money back.

It appears that you are in Asia, and that for some reason the latest Moto G 3rd Gen. 2015 are faulty.

        What is the model number?

If you are in the UK the model number is XT1541, if you are in the USA XT1540, and in India XT1550.

I live in the UK and purchased my XT1541 last year and had no problems, but there appears to be far too many people I am assuming in India but with XT1550 now with problems. For example if you see the reviews on www.YouTube.co.uk
and maybe UK: www.Amazon.co.uk or probably USA: www.Amazon.co.com

I am really disappointed with the quality of service provided. Within few months of my purchase of the device, there was problem with the Mother board. Since it was under warranty, I gave it to the service centre for repair. It has been almost three months now and device is yet to be repaired. Sorry state of affairs. You speak to the customer care and they say part is yet to arrive from China. Please do not get carried away by the looks and safety mechanism of the device.

I am really disappointed in the quality of the display of this device. A sort of grainy / gritty texture is visible especially on white areas of the display. If it wasn't for the display I would've given it a 9/10 but the display is just too much of a deal breaker for me.

DJ, 22 Feb 2016I'm interested in buying a 'budget' smartphone and i really... moreI recommend Motorola, because it updates its phones for instance the moto g (2nd) goes also to android 6 it also already went to lolipop. So you can expect that the moto g (3rd) would be updated to android 7. Huawei on the other hand doesn't update their phones or atleast not many only the ones that cost a lot.

I recently purchased this phone and so far the only thing I don't like is that the text and phone notifications don't show a number on the icon telling me how many messages I have. Does anyone know how to fix this?
