there is an icon for mobile data. but you will have to open the data icon and there you can switch off mobile data. when you are active on wifi the mobile data is automatically moved to wifi, may be that's the reason they didn't give a dedicated mobile data off icon.

By the time people start using wifi ac dedicatedly you can upgrade your mobile to the one which supports wifi ac. not sure but I don't think none of the phone support wifi ac for now. I am sorry if I am wrong. You can use 2 SIM + Memory without any problem.

Many people says not given directly option to mobile data off.
I have sony xperia tipo dual, I disappoint this sony, So..

We use Two SIM + Memory card in it?
1.) It's disadvantage that not support WiFi 802.11 ac..
2.) Poor camcoder recording in it...?

To ALL THE PEOPLE Who r wondering whether to buy moto 3rd gen or not Here's the detailed review of this mobile.......i want you to decide by going through pros and cons(ive brought it after three days from its announcement)
PROS:
1.sexy camera...moto increased their camera standard in this mobile!
2.water resistant which can save you from accidental dips(but cant believe it all the time
3.New design for back cover...which gives you good grip while holding
4.twist for camera,chop for torch features&automatic screenon(day dream feature)
2GB ram,16GB Inernal storage phone takes 3-4gb for os
5.2450mah battery! & good standby time
6.charging cum USB cable...atlast they gave usb data cable cum charger
7.BUDGET MOBILE!!! for students especially!

CONS:
1.I was shocked that moto Mobiles wont give u option to turn on\off mobile data easily in the upper rack you have to go to mobile networks and then disable mobile data which irritates us a lot!
2.eventhough it comes with 2GB ram im getting stuck while multi tasking for a while
3.outline paint of the mobile handset which gets dirty after some months(i am using white handset)
4.I do want to mention that the lenght of charing cable& headphones is too samll i am sure that u will be frustrated after seeing the lenght of charger!
5.heating problem if played online games(clash of clans) for long time but doesnt overheat like sony mobiles
OVERALL MARKS 75\100
dont expect wonders from this mobile in terms of functioning but i feel that its a decent mobile in this price range eventhough had some silly problems.......hope u got an idea do ask ur queries!!!

will the both si... moreI am certain that you CANNOT use both SIMs for the same Speed
(2G & 2G, 3G & 3G and 4G & 4G for both SIMs simultaneously).
But you can simultaneously (at the same time) use for example; 2G & 4G, 2G & 3G, 3G & 4G with SIMs being used in any order and swapped how many times you like.

will the both si... moreIn the UK I don't think that we have two SIMs for XT1541 Moto G 3rd 2015, but
I was watching a YouTube Video recently, where somebody in India had 2 SIMs on XT1550.
He said that he could NOT use 4G on BOTH SIMs simultaneously (the same time),
but he could use
4G on SIM1 and 3G on SIM2 or 4G on SIM2 and 3G on SIM1 (in any order).
There are NO limitations on how often a SIM can switch between 4G and 3G.
In the past, maybe for Moto G 2nd Gen. 2014, XT1068 video clips on www.Amazon.co.uk probably in the, 'Tricks and Tips' section people were showing how to change the speed to 2G legally using internal settings.

I ordered this phone from Flipkart. In india this can be ordered only online via Flipkart. The delivery time was amazing. As always, they have given the best packing and delivered in less time.
About the phone
This is an awesome Android mule. I am a hater of android. Samsung phone have always been a pain. Never tried Chinese made cheap quality phones. After using Samsung phones continuously for 3 times I quit using android and Samsung phones, then I switched on to my favourite blackberry q5. After 1 year of rough usage of blackberry i wanted to shift to a better phone. That's when i saw this moto 3rd gen ad. first i was very impressed about this water resistance feature and then the price, then camera then its specifications and battery usage and finally its awesome shape. I initially thought its going to be the same android story eating up battery and storage. but i was wrong. this phone is an excellent 3rd generation phone. I don't understand why people keep comparing such economy phone with high end and cheap Chinese phone types. what on earth people expect in a low budget phone. some one wrote its not completely water resistant as he saw some water droplets after removing back cover. common dude!!! if its a water proof watch it doesn't mean there wont be water on the watch, it only means inspite of water on the watch the watch keeps ticking.
If people are expecting more than what Motorola 3rd gen is providing then most of those are ignorant. At this price...Motorola is offering much more than anticipated. clean interface, sleek body, superior grip, excellent camera, solid RAM, water resistant, superior battery and most of all no heating at all even if we use it for long period. these china made are like heaters once we play a game for 10 mins. its really surprising that moto is giving it away at this price range. Its the brand and service we are getting at minimal rate.
people who want more than these...please don't divert others mind who are enthusiastic to purchase this phone. for sure, if you are new to android and touch phones, this would be the best bet.
its 1 inch more in height than blackberry q5 but that doesn't really effect your pocket. and when you hold the phone to speak it doesn't look like you are catching a notepad or palm pad..they promised it they delivered it.
its just been 3 days i received this phone, but i am very much happy and a satisfied Motorola customer now.
will write more about it once i start using it regularly.

This mobile is nice
But it has no notification LED light & u cant lock any apps because no any appps lock work in this mobile
My request to the moto g company please give any solutions for lock the apps ¬ification LED light...

there is a problem of network switching....no individual selection like only 4g ,3g,or 2g...
no data on-off shortcut...
not full water resistant when I immersed phone in water there was droplets on back side when I open back panel....
