    If you don't buy the 5G version it won't have 5G. Cricket tried to foist the 2022 4G on me with a promo.
    It was so good I knew there had to be a catch! There was... No 5G, but it took 30 minutes of discussing the 3 moto Gs they had in stock before this IMPORTANT nuance revealed itself.
    So BE CAREFUL what you are buying. This is Aug 2022, many 4G towers in my area of Virginia have been decommissioned! Why would they even be selling a Non-5G phone at this point in time??? Almost reaks of a scam.
    FOUR Moto G Stylus actually exist! This is cruel. There's a moto G stylus 2021, a moto G stylus 2022,
    a moto G stylus 5G 2021 and the NEW moto G Stylus 5G 2022... OMG.
    If you don't get the 5G stylus, you don't get 5G. My spec sheet also said that the 5G 2022 does have NFC, though it's not something I use so I haven't tested it.
    I understand the confusion.
    The 2022 stylus 5G that I just bought was $300 outright at t-mobile AND cricket.
    Although Cricket has not received any 2022 5G phones, they did have the price sheet.
    After 1 day with the 2022 5g stylus, I am not impressed with the contrast ratio on the screen. I had to "upgrade" from my Xiaomi 10T Lite which has similar specs but much better blacks for less money!
    Unfortunately as 4G and 3G are retired my coverage was getting more and more sketchy.

        The new moto g stylus has just one major flaw in my opinion, but it's big enough to justify me returning the phone, paying the restocking fee and going with a different brand. Apparently, someone in development decided reinvent the wheel, in this case, magnification. Instead of the tried and true "pinch and spread" on demand that most phones have, Motorola makes this a multi-step process, and places an icon in your way to do it. In addition to being non-intuitive, it is time consuming and cumbersome. This phone is definitely not for those (think 50+) who repeatedly use pinch and spread while playing games or using apps.

            I just bought (on June 10, 2022) an unlocked Moto G Stylus (2022) at my local Best Buy in Redding, CA USA. Unactivated and with no carrier plan, I paid $295.99 USD before taxes. California sales tax added another $21.39. The box says manufacture date is 2022-03-04.
            It is the "Twlight Blue" 6+128GB and the label also says: Type MC3C4 and there is also "XT2211-2 Moto G Stylus" on the label. The UPC code on the box is 8-40023-22520-8
            It did come with its own power supply and USB-C cable. This model has no NFC and has no 5G (as GsmArena correctly states), but why am I supplying all these details? Because nowhere in the sales literature, on the box, or even in the pamphlet inside the phone box does it mention the FM Radio. BUT MINE HAS THE FM RADIO AND IT WORKS! Motorola even included their own very functional FM Radio app to control it with. Oddly enough, the "NextRadio" app discussed at the MakeUseOf website says "Lucky You! Your device is FM enabled so you can enjoy live, local FM radio. Just plug in some headphones (that's your antenna) and start listening." But when I use NextRadio and click the "I'm ready" button, it tries but then says "Network unavailable". I really don't know why NextRadio doesn't work after saying that the radio is enabled, but since my Moto G Stylus came with its own working "FM Radio" app pre-installed by default. I don't need NextRadio. I have tested and even with the phone in Airplane mode with Wi-Fi and moblie data off, Motorola's FM Radio app still works on my phone. And to put frosting on the cake: Live Captioning supplied by Android 11 works with the audio stream from the FM radio to make captions for any speech being played. I can turn on captions by pressing the volume-down button and tapping the small caption icon below the volume slider to un-cross the icon and enable the live captions. The Android captioning works with "any speech audio stream" and is generated by your phone, not in the cloud, so it works even in airplane mode. Live captioning also can generate captions for audio books. I am really enjoying my Moto G Stylus (2022) with a phone that finally has FM Radio on it so I don't need to use mobile data to stream music from any of those online stores. Beware though: Just because mine has the FM Radio working does not mean other models have it. I even had to sign the restocking fee agreement before I could open the box at Best Buy to test it and I was worried that it might not have it because there was no mention of it on the box, but I got lucky this time. Gsmarena might change the Moto G Stylus (2022) FM Radio status to "Maybe". Also, this is an unlocked phone and some carriers might have it disabled in firmware on locked phones, so watch out for that possibility.
            p.s. the color "Twilight Blue" is so dark it pretty much appears to be black except in direct sunlight. I guess that's the "twilight" factor in the name. :) I am VERY happy with this phone. Also, the screen, at 6.8" is bigger than any of the current model iPhones. The 5000Mah battery is awesome.

              I want to buy this phone for use on Consumer Cellular. The Motorola website says : (Consumer Cellular - Compatible | supports VoLTE). However what about GSM compatibility?
              Consumer Cellular says that it must be GSM compatible. I'm a newbie when it comes to phone tech terms and issues. Note that they sell the Stylus 2021 phone on their site. The Stylus 2022 is Android 11 vs 10 for the 2021 phone. Does it make a difference as far as functionality on Consumer Cellular? Thanks for all help.

                I'm probably gonna buy this phone because I don't need it to be too fast i just need good software and a good display

                      The 2022 5G model with a 695 slated to come out shouldn't even cost this much, let alone this cheap brick with a budget 12nm helio... this is a $170 usd phone.

                        Motorola Edge 20 Pro w/ sd870 is the SAME PRICE on aliexpress. About 280 usd. This needs to stop. Don't buy these models. Companies need to learn.

                          Also, you have no idea what your talking about regarding the Edge+. The Edge+ is not only cheaper than the Galaxy S22, but its also better in literally every way. If you want proof, just compare some of their key specs:

                          256gb vs. 512gb ROM = Moto wins
                          8gb vs. 12gb RAM = Moto wins
                          6.6" vs. 6.7" = Moto wins
                          72MP vs. 102MP Camera System = Moto wins
                          10MP vs. 64MP Selfie Camera = Moto wins
                          45W vs. 68W charging = Moto wins
                          4500mah vs. 4800mah battery = Moto wins
                          120hz vs. 144hz refresh rate = Moto wins

                          And don't even get me started with the underwhelming iPhone 13 Pro.

                          Obviously the Edge+ is the best deal, and is also very underrated. The Edge+ is one of the best smartphones of the year.

                          Even if other phone companies moved to the U.S., they wouldn't stand a chance, because Motorola is the budget phone king.

In nearly every other country, Motorola charges way less money (no significant spec differences). Why pay that much money for an Edge+ when you can get an iPhone 13 Pro or S22+ which are better in almost every way, including software support? Xiaomi and others should make themselves known in the U.S. If there were more competition, Motorola would rely much less on inelastic demand.

                              This phone is great for the average user, with good performance, and other outstanding specs.

                              Just remember, you get what you pay for. There is no such thing as a 300 dollar phone with Oled, 5g, readyfor, or other flagship specs. If you want these features, you can buy the Motorola Edge Plus.

                                    Its very mid-range indeed. Check out the Moto X4 from 2017. It was going for $299usd or Less. Near OLED blacks, Greater pixel density, way better battery life. Durable & Fast for 3yrs. 4K capable. Using a steady hand, still photos were detailed, great color palate. ac wireless. Gorilla glass never scratched. Summary the 2022 G Stylus is fun largely bc of Android 11. But after that...This is Not a great value. Unlike the X4 that broke the budget mold like the European offerings from the Same manufacture that still exist today BUT NOT in the US. Thanks Moto for jumping on the fleecing of America bandwagon. If your forcing me to spend over $700usd for a Flagship?? it will Not be a Moto.
