Besides, what is wrong with you people? If they do not have a feature, you complain. If they do, you also complain.

PMKLR3m, 11 Aug 2022Why does it have 2x optical zoom, if its 200mpx camera is c... moreIt's not as straight forward as you might think. Quad Bayer sensors never been able to provide true lossless zoom. Having that telephoto sensor means that it can produce native 2x zoom photo using the algorithm data from the main 200MP sensor.

why only FHD screen? and only 2x optical zoom? why does motorola omit certain things in all its flagships?

Why does it have 2x optical zoom, if its 200mpx camera is capable of 4x hybrid zoom, (crop from 16k)

200mp 🤦 the readout must be sluggish as hell. What we really really need is a 1/1.12" 16mp sensor with 2.2um pixels. 16mp super sampled 4k or 4mp binned 4.4um 1080p for better low light performance. This push to record 8k on a phone is unnecessary and a waste. 4k from a phone looks good with at least 2.0um pixels but 8k with smaller pixels even indoors looks meh. I'd rather have 16mp 1/1.12" 2.0um, and then at least a 12mp 1/1.7" 1.8um for Ultra wide and a zoom that 85mm equivalent. Main with F1.7, UW with F2, and 85mm equivalent at F2.8 Tack sharp but also good in low or mixed lighting

ThatTechDoge135, 08 Aug 2022The GN1 right? And I heard Samsung is supposed to use an up... moreI think so, but I also heard they will keep the same zoom telephoto.
I mean, if they can do better, why do they keep using the same old tech and not even make the prices more reasonable?

Darknoor, 30 Jun 2022It is the Samsung's long awaited 200mp sensor I assume. The GN1 right? And I heard Samsung is supposed to use an upcoming GN2 on the S23 Ultra.

Motorola is getting there nice phones nice prices if they keep it up in 5years to 10 they be top 3 brands I really love their phones

                                  My thoughts:
                                  1. Announced in early August
                                  2. $999 base price, $1,099 for 12/256GB
                                  3. Replacement to Edge+
                                  4. First Moto flagship released in US since Edge+
                                  5. Will use 8+ Gen 1
                                  6. Wouldn't be surprised if it launches alongside another phone or 2 and is called Edge 40 Pro or Edge 40 Ultra (or Edge 30/40 Frontier)
                                  7. Will sell between 500,000 and 1,000,000 units worldwide
