Motorola has confirmed that the two-year-old Moto X Play and Moto X Style will soon get to taste the latest Android Nougat update. The company’s official Facebook handle confirms that the Nougat update will reach the Moto X Force within few days, Moto X Style in a couple of weeks, and the Moto X Play in Mid-July. -Note from Google news

I've been loyal to the Motorola brand for years, I had a Moto X 2014, the following year the Moto X Play, and a Moto X style the year after that, but now I've jumped ship and just now purchased a Huawei Honor 8 PRO because I can't rely on Lenovo to supply a phone that they will update on a regular basis.

Ghost was maybe the last device to get lollipop among all android phones whereas it was among the first to be updated from jelly bean to kitkat (which is why i bought it). And your sec updates aren't like nexus line monthly, they are "random". Samsung was giving monthly or every other month a security update to my S5.
my X Style got maybe 3 sec update in total and last one is still from december 2016.
No problem if a company doesn't support their phone, but people and sites like GSMA need to stop praising this brand for those "invisible" updates appearing only in soak-tests and final users still getting nothing months later.
World is moving fast in mobile market so that people interested need to be correctly informed and not misled with "wrong good news" or "wishful thinking" like we can see here among posters.
