Official ota rollout has begun in Brazil. I'm personally disappointed that it's not 7.1 but 7.0. Would've been a fitting farewell from Moto team in terms of ota updates to this flagship phone.
Check other forums for evidence. People who have rooted phones have already started checking how nougat works on their style/pure phones. It's a risk they're willing to take I guess.
P.S : I still cannot believe it has been released as I too believed up until now that the plan had been shelved. Still in sort of a semi-shock ;)
Please check & report back so that I can finally believe that I am in fact 'not' hallucinating, after checking for news on this for the past 5 months

Guys, there is easy way to update your phone, I just did it few days ago and it's awesome.just dl vpn and then change your server to us or Europe and then go to settings/about phone/software update/
U will surprise, good luck guys( but honestly I no have idea how's Android 7 is good or have bugs but now everything still fine)

Lenovo abandoned this great device. Seems like Nougat update plan has been shelved. If you want nougat upgrade then buy Moto Z series, No more support for Moto X pure edition says Lenovo.

They never intended on spending the money or resources for Nougat on the motoxPE. They just give the same bullsh$t answer on social media... I won't buy Motorola or Lenovo products for the rest of my life... Guaranteed... Fyou Moto hello Google Pixel 2!

Gokkus - Nobody says that the phone is waterproof. Its splash proof !!! Did you see a difference ?

Anonymous, 07 Jun 2017IF it ever comes, many owners will already have changed for... moreI got moto x for the same reason "timely updates" but its lenovo now and we know how they are .The fact is if you look at the android distribution less than 10% phones have nougat(7.0/+) so i think we're lucky to even have an update.They used to be better but now they are all the same even pixel will have 2 years of update . No solution bro.This is the last update we'll get so enjoy it.

Click on the specifications tab above and look under 'Body'. I clearly states 'Splash proof', not 'Water proof'. That means that it can resist a light shower, NOT dropped in a bucket of water. It's your fault, don't blame the phone.

I dropped the mobile in water bucked and not getting switched on even after 7 days. They said its water proof, dust proof etc. I thing my Rs.27,000 lost.
