I've had my Moto Z for about 16 months now. Overall its an alright phone. The screen is probably the best part. Its vivid, bright, and looks fantastic. The mods are pretty cool, but there aren't many to choose from and moto doesn't seem too interested in them to be honest. Some of my mods now have started to fall off or disconnect while attached to the phone which is very annoying. Moto is also very poor with software updates, as the Z is still on 7.1.1 December security patch. Battery life is atrocious though. I'm already on my second Z and (hopefully) will be either replacing this one or switching to the Z Play within the next two weeks. On the best of days I can get 3.5 hours of SOT with most days falling below 3 hours. I usually have to charge 2-3 times a day. Very disappointing considering before the Z was updated to Nougat I averaged over 6 hours SOT. Moto support is also very bad and not helpful at all.

Best camera
ppl think more mega pixels gives best photos it's not true it's based upon aperture
Battery is2600 mah but it's ok phone giving a turbo charging 100 charging only in 40 min quite impressive
Snapdragon 820 vgood
No 3.5mm jack because it's very slim phone ever 5.2mm
C type port give adapter to 3.5mm very good sound

I buy this mobile from a offer INR 8500 only its working perfect no issues very clear voice awesome display net speed also fine and i am not time wasting gaming guy. as i am a photographer the camera also wonderful thanks motorola.

I've had my Moto Z for a month now. It runs on Android 6 and battery life is excellent. I'm not a heavy user, but if I start off at 100% in the morning it'll be anywhere between 50%-70% by mid evening. Overnight it will consume no more than 5%. Had thought about getting a battery mod before I bought it, but so far it's completely unecessary. I get notifications every week or so prompting me to upgrade to to Android 7. Given the issues with 7.1.1. , which appear quite catastrophic and are not limited to Motorola phones, I have no issue leaving things as they are. If you think this is the phone for you and you can get it with any Android version pre 7.1.1 then go for it, it's a great phone.

The battery stoped, after only 1 year usage, working despite my care with the product, meaning the phone shuts down with a high discontinuous changes in the battery percentage. Now, it shuts down even with 90% and the only way to turn on again is charging on cable, utterly useless product from Motorola.

Dont buy this phone, it's got a maasive battery issue when updated to Android 7.1.1

But activating the battery economy mode, it could save more hours. I have the battery mode, with the last turbopower mode, it could charge near twice the phone, giving it a full day use.
The battery is a real problem for this phone. The rest is really good.

I just bought a used moto z but I feel my moto z battery feels very wasteful and only get sot under 3 hours. is that a natural thing? or I have to go to SC motorola in my country to claim a warranty for a new battery change. Please help me.

I used MoTO 2nd Generationfor 3 Yrs without any Complaints it was very good in that thought i go for Moto Z but it is disappointed me after three months of purchase batterry stated draining fast when i given for service they took 25 days to get result . The result they have to replace to new one after this i dont like it to get that what to do..... if you buy ask someone who is using more than 6 months....then go ahaead...

I honestly loved this phone. It was fast, thin and had plenty of storage of me! For the first year I had this phone, I would have argued with anyone the the Moto Z was the best phone on the market. Then, literally two days after my year warranty was up, I did a system update and my battery started draining in 3 hours. I had to put my phone on airplane mode if I wanted it to last more than 6 hours. So, since I couldn't afford to fork out another couple hundred on a phone, I bought a Motorola battery mod. This boosted my battery life quite a bit. However, once the mod battery is dead, my phone shortly follows. Once my phone is using it's own battery, it completely shuts down at 35%. Once it is plugged in, it still states the battery is at 35%. I'm extremely bummed that this phone has been such a disappointment.

go with one plus this phone is terrible. This phone is made super cheaply and has shit for performance and it also gets super hot for normal use.
