I have had nothing but grief since I purchased my MPX 220 "smart"phone 2 1/2 years ago. The problems with it are endless. I'm on my 9th phone now. If it would only consistently work, I'd be very happy with it. I love the windows operating system. My current phone shuts itself off and randomly decides to have no signal. Past phones have had issues with the camera, with sound and other things. I do NOT recommend this phone to anyone.

Thanks darkdawn for the help. I thought that it was kind of weird that it would have a 512mb max put on it. Just got the phone, and so far I am very pleased with it.

to Cris:
it says 512mb max,but it was proven that the mpx220 can handle 2 GB cards,i will search for the link and post it!
buy a sandisk card,they are very good cards!

I was looking at the specs for the phone and it says that the max capacity for the miniSD is 512mb. Is there any reason why I couldn't use a 1G memory card instead?

Ummm i just got this phone and i pretty much figured out everything except does anyone knoe how to make you own ringtones louder on your phone from you computer? if anyone needs help just e-mail me anything i have already done it

to jim;
u have to treat this phone like u treat ur computer,u have to upgrade to new ROMS if its crashing,and its better to install ur games and programs on ur memory card rather than ur internal memory!
plus its windows man,even ur computer crashes from time to time or it needs restarting at least once a day,so what do u expect from a phone!?
u have to restart ur phone at least once a day! and make sure that u exit any applications u opened to clear more memory! if u dont exit many programs then its possible that ur phone will crash!
this is not rulez but they are precautions:)
TO JOSE:
about the camera,well its windows mobile that needs upgrading!
till this moment there's no way to upgrade it! but hopefully in the future it can be done!
in the present the only way to improve the camera at least a little,is to upgrade ur rom to newer versions!!!
anyway believe me there is so much that u can do with this phone that u really wont play with the camera so much:D

Same problems as you all.. and.... Windows sucks - locks up all the time. Takes 5 minutes to boot - how can that be when windows is memory resident (no hard drive latency?)
Missed calls disappears after you view them once - call history now sorts in name order not time order - can't figure out how to change this.
Can't hear sh*t on this phone - how many of you also thought you were going deaf after getting this phone?????
Cingular acts like you were the first person to ever have a problem with this phone. How come Ford,GM have to have recalls but a piece of sh*t like this isn't recalled?
Why is there a 5 second delay from when I answer to when I can start talking and the other person can hear me????
Getting rid of this phone should drop my blood pressure by 20 points. I see now why cell companies what you to buy a 2 year contract.

the photos are really bad from the mpx 220,but its not the camera's fault,its the software!
the windows mobile fault!

the D500 makes the best photos,it may have 90mb internal memory,but the mpx has a card slot,so the memory can be extended!
if u are a normal mobile user that wants a good phone that makes good pictures then take the D500 but if u want a smartphone which u can upgrade and put programs on and customize,and dont care about the camera so much then take the MPX 220!

Hi again. Do you think the 25mb of memory is enough to one´s normal/common use? Cause the D500 have 96mb. I´m in doubt...

Hello. I´m really confused about this mobile and the Sansung D500. Which one do you people think is the best in general? Forget the Windows Mobile. Think in general. And what photos taken are the best? This or D500´s? Could you please help me???? Thanks!

It's a response to nokia 6600 and other mobile phones with os. I belive that having an os on a mobile phone is like having a laptop. It's quite cheap too: 199$ on Connex with a 12/24 months contract. Excellent!

this fone gets deeper all the time..Its got so much in it and have found some addictive games at absolute .com,,,when you press START i initially had about 3 pages of things on it meaning you scroll down then go to next screen for a list and so on and now at five pages .at moment my front screen is bright orange with yellow writing and i dont think the battery is bad like some mags and reviews are stating.Had it 4 months now and has stuck a few times BUT thats me being impatient >>>>>9 out of 10
