I wouldn't go as far as to say it's getting late in the year...

Has nobody else on here had the common sense to see that Google/Motorola are just doing a similar release to what Apple did...

Nexus X will be the new Nexus flagship device with presumably a 5.2" screen and the Nexus 6 would then be in line with screen size naming and would be the 5.9" variant.

If however Google have lost their minds and think that the Galaxy Note is the main competitor to the Nexus range and therefore only release a 5.9" phone then I will definitely not be the only annoyed customer.

I have had an Android phone since it's release on the T-Mobile G1. I have had every Nexus phone but I am now becoming increasingly bored with Android and the Nexus range. Like others have said, there is not enough originality.

Yeah we have wireless charging and we've had NFC for a couple of years, but Apple have been capitalising on what the consumer wants not what the tech guy wants.

The final straw will be the SoC. If Google do indeed use the Snapdragon 805 then it will confirm they have gone nuts. The 805 is Qualcomms last 32-bit chip. The 808 is their first 64-bit chip. Android L is built around offering 64-bit support. So why use a 32-bit chip!

The coming weeks will decide if I make the jump from Android to iOS...

According to android's bus stop animation, nexus x will be extremely big and the power and volume buttons will be in the middle on the right side just like the rumors. Watch the video it's funny

Nearly bought Sony z3c but held off due to usual reasons of Sony.

Anyhow glad as still await the Nexus release but its getting a bit late now in the year.Wonder if anything is going to be released at all but hope something comes soon as will get Nexus 5 if not .

In past Nexus just get released with not much fanfare but thats got to change as so many are aware of it and its advantages. It would be good if it reached main smartphone status not dev test device because its a belting fast smartphone.

I just realized, There is no NEXUS 6
Shamu device is Moto S. Plain and Simple:
1-It is too big for a nexus
                                  2-Back panel doesn't have a nexus logo and only a M logo
3-It passed through FCC as Verizon device, google devices were always global.
The next nexus phone will be Nexus X, if there's gonna be a phablet it's gonna be the Nexus X Plus. Two versions. 5.2(or 5.0) inch, and 5.9 inch. Woooo. No need to worry. It might(20%) have a fingerprint scanner on the back. It will be released either on October 15th or 16th or around Halloween. Shamu is not google, It's Moto S. Nexus X is probably called X not 6 and codenamed(25%) Jellyfish. But still, There's a 9% chance that the nexus line ends with nexus 9. This leak just came in!

Why does ANY company put out a phone without (micro)SD card reader or replaceable battery? It's so idiotic.

So many great phones that aren't worth consideration without card reader or battery.
