not a good phone.. just 100mb storage. i hav it and onliy hav like 4 games which are max 7mb with opera mobile which is 22mb and whatsapp... only that much and my space is full already...

When i bay dubai carrefour in deira city center affter two day battery drains very fast I complaind customer service he is tolde me affter 3 weeks make service agin to me i whand three week witing whate is customer here

Gents plz helppp
i have weird thing with my Xt5, i suddenly found that some contact are not existing on my device. i found only names but no phone numbers, first i thaught i accedntaly deleted them, but this repeated again and again, when i log to the contacts icon i found the sentence (displaying 415 contacts with phone numbers) although i have around 800 contacts. and they decrease ... i tried with display options but nothing. can u plz advise ... plz reply here and also on my personal mail hithamkordy@gmail.com. appreciate your help

I have motorola xt5 since almost an year. It made rounds of service center (India) couple of times. first issue was with camera, while the phone as such
was running fine. In a bid to repair camera the phone became dysfunctional. In couple of weeks it was back to service. Motorola - India does not replace your
device even if the damn thing doesn't boot up. My phone was with service for 3 months! I was not given a stand by phone. I had to purchase Samsung Wave 525 as
a stop-gap. -- Bottom line here .. If you are in India, dont go for Motorola. Their after sales is PATHETIC! You are better off with HTC or Samsung.
Second half of the story....
After i got my phone back, I was in no mood to continue with default OS Android 2.1.0. becasue Motorola bluntly says it will not provide any updates for Quench series (XT3/XT5). That took me to Cyanogen (I know warranty goes void). I had made up my mind to either exchange and get a Samsung S plus or use it for
experiments with cyanogenmods.
Now here is the INTERESTING part -- While looking for CyanogenMod, I realised that XT5 is not Motorola's own device. It is Commtiva Z71 which is re-branded by
many companies such as Spice, Motorola etc..

Now, that seems to be the real reason for which Motorola doesnt provide updates. Although the hardware is good enough to house gingerbread (Android 2.3).
I have installed CyanogenMod 7.1 and it is working fine so far. Yes, now I CAN INSTALL apps in memory card which you COULDN'T DO with default 2.1 OS. Android OS is now 2.3.7. But it needs bigger battery than 1230mAh(default) to last with GPRS/3G enabled. There is world of animations unlocked with this mod. I guess the OS needs more Amperes to run it!
