i want to buy this phone but i have little problem to buy this phone early i brought l7i i sold the phone after the one month of use because it had lot of problem in it so can i buy this phone with full confident please help me

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2008Does the V8 have voice activated dialing? Yes, the V8 has voice dialling. The button on the right hand side is the voice dialling button or you can also use voice dialling via bluetooth headset which I feel is much better and easier. I've frequently used voice dialling via bluetooth and used voice command too - like instructing the phone to reset its ring profile or check messages and so on. Look at the manual if you are a V8 user and you'll know what I mean.

planning to buy this phone, wil be using only for messaging and calls.
Is the battery back up good enough?
had used the V3i, was totally dissatisfied.
using a SE W910i now which is excellent by the way.

There are 2 versions of V8.
Normal version (picture as shown here) has an in built 512 MB of memory. Some websites say it's 420 MB but mine clearly indicated 512 MB.
2nd version is the Luxury version and has 2 GB built in memory.

it is an excellent phone but price should be reduced to around 9 to 10000

Being a user of V8 myself for 6 months now, I've not encountered the problem you described. Only good, positive performance on V8 from me so far.
I suggest you take your phone back to the local Motorola Service Centre and check with them. Sync or back up your information first before going there as they might recommend a Master Reset and reload of the latest software again.

this phone seems pretty much advance and well pretty good.. being able to use the browser in html format is awsome but why didnt this phone come with a memory card slot and the V9 version did??? they shouldve kept the memory card slot for the v8 also.. thatz pretty much the only thing im disappointed about..

If you are refering to "touch Button" for internal screen like the external screen with haptic technology, the answer is no.... perhaps not yet.

Yes you can listen to songs via wired earphone bundled together in the box or through bluetooth headset. However, the sound quality via bluetooth headset greatly depends on the bluetooth unit itself and the brands you choose. I suggest you try them out before purchasing to make sure you like the sound quality.

Thanks for your support. I fully agreed that many are not giving constructive reviews on this phone and even other phones (just look at reviews on other phones). Well, that's how human's nature, some very negative and some positive thinking. I'm just trying my best to help others and at the same time giving back due respects to Motorola. In fact I greatly believe Motorola did produce some really good phones (to be fair, so did other brands too). So it all boils down to what an individual wants. I'm currently eyeing Z9 for my next upgrade, yes another Motorola... again.
