okay people im really getting tired of this phone . . i cant seem to make the message alert tone my custom one hey it keeps on using the voice alert that talks when i recieve a message . . .im getting frustrated help

bought my v8 2G some months ago and it is performing just like how i want it to. the battery time is okay (i charge every 1.5 days... every day if i talk a lot on the phone) and the other features are cool. i still need to learn how to synch my phone to my e-mail. pretty weird though is that my phone has hung once but i suppose that's normal for all phones... phone, mp3 player, 2MP camera. it's pretty much a great buy. chose this over the v9 because i really don't have a use for extractable memory, and their capacity is the same (2G)

Mine show the album art on outer screen but not like full screen but it does. You should try to add album art to files with iTunes software atleast I do and it's work.

My v8 razr2 is too nice

Yeah phone's OS should be more improved. There aren't any major problem although it should be updated soon.

My 920mah battery last for 2 days with normal use. So 960mah should be easily.
There are no option I've seen yet that allow to change the font size.
There are two version of this phone one is 480MB and other is 2GB.

If you have one messege then you can read that from your outer display without open the flip.

So this phone cant really be customised pfft
i get bored quickly and like to change themes on my phone often
no wonder motorola are going down hill they never bother to add the little touches like other phones have
also you cant read messages on the frontscreen of this one only the v9 thats so annoying!!

This phone hasn't themes like SonyEricsson. Only 3 themes are builtin. there are no easy way to install extra theme.

like sony ericsson? ones that change the whole look of the phone including the icons, or are their just wallpapers and screen savers??

I have this fone and am happy with it @EMS06 if you are in bad signal area it will drain quicker - also talk time is only 7 hours . are you on the phone all day?
I get 3 - 4 days between charges on the standard battery

I’ve also Sony Ericsson W300i which has strong battery life. You can’t compare the battery life with Moto V8. My W300i easily go 3days with heavy use. If you don’t bother to charge your phone on a regular basis after 2 days or when heavy use then 1 day. Then you can go for V8. When you buy the phone make sure you get 920 or 960 battery.
But may be one thing you should know, if you living in a hot place then possibility your body sometimes become sweat. And the phone is fingerprint magnet. So after little use it become look dirty with fingerprint and sweat so you have to clean your phone very often if you want to shiny all time.

Yes battery compartment is difference for 920. If your phone came with older battery then you probably got the flat back cover. Newer one isn't flat. So you have to buy also newer battery compartment for 9 series. You can't use flat back cover with 9 series battery.
