motorola needs to think of sumthin else,and when will they reach 3megapixels,samsung reached last year,all motorola phones are the same basically except for camera at times i mean the razr was good for its era done with that now

If you're that desperate for a motorola phone with Auto-focus, how about you go to a Verizon-Wireless store and sign your life away to a "Carrier-Crippled" Motorola Maxx Ve with that ridiculous "non-customizable" Verizon Wireless user interface OR you can buy a "20 millimeter thick-brick" Motorola V3x with a Macros Function! How innovative is that! not...
Go & buy a real camera if your a photographer people!!!

moto design is the best,but the camera...mp i dun care,but plz add the AF function,cuz it really useful the taking snapshoot,yes!plz ad AF,if u do that ,it is perfect.The music is the best,design is the best,function still ok,n u r the best if u add AF in you phone.U can make urself win the Nokia N Samsung if u got AF.Really,many of my friends also luv you ,moto,but the dun wan buy moto because of the PRESENT of AF!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope that moto can add the AF in camera la,2 mp only nvm ,i just care about the AF.Cuz i really luv moto phone,but i just buy nokia n samsung.Y?cuz no AF.I really really hope moto can add AF.I MUST buy moto phone if moto got AF.plz plz plz plz plz

Dear Moto Haters,
Motorola phones are the best in the market. i can prove this. someone said that their technology sucks. thats not true because motorola has always had the newest technology in its phones. i have bought 2 motos(2 and 3 years ago) and they are STILL STATE OF THE ART. nokia always makes its phones like big deal, but they suck and always will. if someone needs bricks they can get them off the wall. motos are the most practical, user friendly, full with functions and have the best software, especially the now ones that run on linux, they are unbelievable. ok thats all i have to say for now.

P.S. if you people hate motorola so much, than what are you doing reading and posting comments here. go to nokia and Sony-E.s forums and write whatever you like, because you can never change our mind about MOTOROLA

The difference between the older "outdated" Synergy UI & the new Linux UI, is that the Linux UI has a totally redesigned more eye appealing interface thats highly customizable. You can add, change, & move folders to where ever you want like Nokia's S60 UI. So it's more of a "smartphone" than it is a regular phone.
This V8 version will be the only version to carry the new and revitalized Linux UI, which will be on "T-Mobile." Other Razr 2 Versions (V9 & V9M) will have the old & tired Synergy UI.
ALSO, with only this V8 version, theres 512MB of "Shared Memory" in BOTH the 2GB version & the 420MB version. What GSMARENA has failed to mention is that 2GB & 420MBs are "ADDITIONAL End-User" storage capacities. So in actuality, theres a V8 version with 932MBs & another V8 version with 2GBs+512MBs.
The Razr 2 "V8" is the best version to get. The only drawback is its terrible QCIF video recording. I won't count the missing "3G" a drawback because Motorola makes these phones for younger crowds "18-25" and we could care less about "tethering" our laptops with a phone.

Well for one the Synergy platform looks terrible... it still uses the cartoony and pixellated icons from way back, and then their is that navigation system:(.
Linux is far more customisable and nicely realised. Better icons, better speed, better ergonomics... a big step for Moto.
Phone still looks old and passe!

Motorola isn't going down just because they are cutting back by 4000 employees. Don't be ignorant. How many times has Sprint laid off their employees and hired them back a few months later? Its all a game to make shareholders happy.

No need to worry about the functions of this phone for much longer, with 4,000 job cuts planned by the end of June it's gonna be Bye Bye Moto pretty soon
