Honestly I think this is a really interesting balance. Flip phones really aren't productivity phones, you're allowed to disagree, but there's just not much you can do with that space. You're always gonna have a worse camera worse battery and worse heat dissipation. Not good for productivity. In that case, now that we know this phone isn't made for productivity, not a lot of battery life, a smaller main sensor, but a chip that's still going to be usable in 5 years makes a lot of sense. 33w charging is fine for someone who doesn't use their phone a lot and charges overnight is fine. People who use their phones a lot probably don't care if it takes up a lot of space. It's really not an Ultra, the form factor can't allow for that with current technology, but it's still a solid offering. With a lower price than last time this could be a solid pickup. I wouldn't, because I want my phone to have long battery life and the biggest cameras possible, also not having hardware features like expandable storage and wired audio is a dealbreaker to me, but I can think of many people I know who would like this phone.

Super Android 22, 04 May 2023Gsm battery testing is actually super flawed and wrong tbh ... moreSure, I agree to some points you made, but that Asus line of mobiles are specialized for gaming. Of course they will do better in that regard then a non-gaming phone, but what about other things like camera performance? They are flagships but not quite on par with other flagships other then having a flagship chipset and bigger battery to support that heavy gaming sessions. We could probably disquss is Asus ROG line of smartphones are real flagship or "just" a specialized phone for gaming. Sure, you can do plenty of stuff on a gaming phone too, but why would you buy it if you're not a gamer. I think we shouldn't mix those two categories of phones. Regular flagships and those specialized for gaming.

          Cheers!

ROG 7 ultimate in real life useage absolutely destroys the 14 pro max in gaming, web browsing/social media and video playback (offline and online) for battery, like 30% left when the iphone is dead, yet this site says 14 pro max is basically flagship battery king. Against a xiaomi 13 ultra its basically same battery endurance, once the xiaomi fully depletes the iphone has about 1% battery left and the xiaomi actually has a hibernation mode which leaves your device with 1% battery so you can atleast ring people for up to an extra hour. (xiaomi supposedly gets hours less battery vs the iphone)

So comparing any device now on this site just isnt giving you realistic or correct battery endurance results.

Also if the outer display is the same resolution in the same aspect ratio as the previous model then the display is producing the same amount of pixels so wont really make a difference unless its a different panel type (i think anyway)

Also this phone's battery is *bigger* then the IPhone 14 pro, And that phone battery-life is very long. Let that sink in for a minute

Why would anyone pay for a flip phone a sum of money only to end up with sub 4000 mah and a weak samsung CPU.

Big mistake by Motorola. Unless it's extremely affordable I don't it will sell

Modern phones are fine it is what it is. If people dont like the change then get an older phone...my dad had his Samsung J7 Sky Pro for about 5 years, nobody really needs the newest of anything especially apple. It is what it is.....

GSMArena's enduring rating favours the Flip4 significantly:
