Why the camera downgrades?

TomatoSauce, 31 May 2023I swear, if I see another "Ultra" phone I'll... moreI sweared that when I saw how many phones were named "pro" when they were actual crap.

At least some impovements (outer screen) comparing Razr 2022.

I swear, if I see another "Ultra" phone I'll jump from 9th floor

As much as Motorola is a good company that makes good phones, they need to work on two things. Software. They give out 2/3 year updates when Google and Samsung are nearing 5 years.

No ones gonna buy a phone every/2 year(s) just to stick to a good company. Idk what Lenovo is smoking but they to get their sh*t together with this or I'm taking my money elsewhere.

The phone has Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, not Gen 2, unfortunately.

I don't mind if they reduce the battery even further, actually I would like that because that will reduce the mass too. Lenovo seems to be trying to please everyone.

Anonymous, 25 May 2023I wish that Motorola delivered timelines for their updates.... moreI believe you will receive tiramisu update soon as my Edge 30 Fusion got the big update and it's already been one week since. Again the update was less than 1.5G I believe. Some small features are added like a side bar, which blends well with the gorgeous curved screen, 2 new fingerprint animations and such

Anonymous, 19 May 2023Will this version of the RAZR finally support Verizon'... moreVerizon the largest wireless USA carrier, really? By what metric?
Number of subscribers - possibly (that may come into question now that T-Mobile USA merging with Sprint Wireless. Or do you mean by coverage area?

Manual manufacturers have different partnerships and may not care for Verizon. Example the iPhone never supported Verizon wireless’ network until iPhone 4 I think but that was NOT compatible with global GAM/3G networks back then. I rest my case ;)

Ellenes , 24 May 2023I dont understand Something.i am a huge fan Motorola but i ... moreWell this is STILL a niche line of products - Android Flip phones. They’re made for fashion first which is why the function determines the design.

Even the Motorola RAZR (designed from the Motorola V30, and previous the Motorola StarTAC) all had lower than industry standard battery life!! All sold very well and evolved the product line as such I’ve listed.

You claim to be a Motorola fan; but I highly doubt you’re old enough to have seen the evolution of “cellular phones” to “feature phones” and into 1st, 2nd, 3rd and now 4th generation smartphones” nor realize the smarter phones become the dumber people use them for!

I.e. my first phone was an Ericsson T-18z and I was 19yr old when it debuted for reference.

Edge 30 Ultra is yet running Android 12, which really makes me wonder if this should be the device i´m getting next or the Samsung Galaxy Flip 5.

I wish Motorola would support updates longer than 2 years as they do now. Google, Apple and many others give at least 3 years worth of updates. Making Motorola the odd one out.

Will this version of the RAZR finally support Verizon's 5G network? It made no sense for Motorola to make and release a 5G version of the RAZR but not support the largest wireless carrier in the USA. So hopefully this one does!

IQ200, 04 May 2023Sure, I agree to some points you made, but that Asus line o... moreOh i agree the iphone is the better all round package but im not talking about the quality of all parts, im talking straight up battery endurance. Again the rog 7 ultimate gets better battery by running every day tasks, so gaming, web browsing, music and video playback/online streaming etc vs the iphone 14 pro max (im not saying the rog phone isnt a dedicated gaming phone, it just has better battery life). Its not even close either.

Unfortunately gsm focus on standy performance with completely unrealistic usage scenarios even though people are constantly using their devices all day so its the SoT that matters not phone idle with the screen off.

I would of had a rog 3 yes, still would for the endurance and speaker quality (could get away with the design, isnt too outlandish), wouldnt have a 6 or 7 because they look terrible and like a 10 year old designed it with pointless dot matrix panels or whatever to look like a christmas tree.

Super Android 22, 04 May 2023Gsm battery testing is actually super flawed and wrong tbh ... moreYeah their battery tests are kinda lame. They scored the Pixel 4 as very low battery life, but I can squeeze out more than two days with mines, despite the low capacity.

In contrast the OP7 Pro scored much higher with its 4000mah battery, yet I can only get one days worth with mines. These experiences really tells me that software optimization is a huge factor in battery life, regardless of its capacity.

The front is cool, but they got rid of the unique chassis shape with the slightly convex top, like with old Razr phones. Now it looks just like an ordinary foldable without the "Razr" look.
