Darth Ramrod i've also heard and seen evidence of this. the RAZR maxx revealed was a prototype. there could be many changes, two of them the camera that will likely change to 2mp Autofocus and that huge external screen from the CDMA RAZR maxx V6.

A pity, this phone won't be out for a little while yet, maybe just before Christmas. The samples going around are engineering samples, and several changes have/are being implemented for the final production version. For example, the side buttons on the top flap will be moved back to the side of the main body. The camera and flash will be arranged differently, more like as it appears on the mockup picture of the Verizon CDMA MotoRAZR Maxx. It is also likely that the phone will have the flash based interface on top of a mobile linux variant like on some of Motorola's south korean handsets.

Speed indeed. I ran a speed test on a dodgy LG handset on Telstra's 850mhz HSDPA network yesterday. It maxed out the phones 1.8mbps limit. The 3.6Mbps HSDPA MotoRAZR Maxx will rock on this network. Can't wait for the upgrade to HSDPA 14.4Mbps in 2007 and HSUPA, hopefully the MotoRAZR Maxx will be firmware upgradable to these specs.

It may be another Razr, but have you seen the 3G data rate it can transfer up to?!?! thats some serious speed for a phone compared to the current 3G Rate, albet 3G transmitters may not support such speeds yet, i dont know?but still a valueable wireless tool.

Pathetic? Not hardly. Yes, you gotta like moto to like this fone. It's the V3x but with thinner size and 2 Gb mem limit. I like it!!! No wifi but so what. I gotta laptop for that. Last thing I want from my phone is to "surf" the web on a 2.2" screen. Geeez. wadda headache. With the LED I can video the strippers on freaky night. Yah Man! Hurry up and send me one!!!!

I am posting this on my n80 on preston station whilst browsing the new voda brochure.The MAXX V6 is in as an exclusive to voda and is £280 on prepay & free on a £35 contract.Its payday friday and if theve got one in on prepay its mine.Will give a review if i get one....heres hoping

its got cif resolution video record & it looks great ..hope its out before xmas,,if you dont like motorola then clear off its a mobile fone not a new drug that cures all... Fancy arguing over wats the best firm they all are different & for different needs & the coloured fones of the same model are there for choice.

Yes, Richie Buchie- I am not Kal ! I only wish you Moto people would allow others their points of view without the agressiveness and the defensiveness. No phone is perfect,no company is perfect but what makes mobile phones interesting is - just that- they are not perfect . There is a lot to discuss .......and rationally .

I dont need to support myself by posting again without a name. Those who knows what I'm saying, will ofcourse support me. Even you know about my last post and you have nothing to say against it. Kal - yes, I have seen the video and it is a despicable under trick by Motorola- very unprofessional and small minded for a big company. It is little things like that ,that I dislike - so Motorola get very little repsect from me over this issue .
How desperate must one get to resort to such underhand behaviour .

Since you kept bringing Samsung, let me enlighten you with another embarasing info.
Some of you might have seen the YouTube video of a woman snapping a Samsung's 6.9 millimeter-thin Ultra mobile phone in half.
The copyright owner of that video was your beloved Motorola according to YouTube. Moto asked them to remove it now. I dont know how do you explain that..but these dirty tricks only shows how desparate and frustrated they are.
