I have been converted to Motorola recently, the V3 is a great little phone. Just a note regarding SOME of the last comments; how can your opinion possibly be taken for real when you can't even spell. Can you even afford this phone???

I think if your a rich person, and you're going to a dance party or something with a suite, I think the V3 will match very well, otherwise it's just a waste of money for the looks with only a 0.3mp (VGA) camera and no memory card slot.

You’d expect them to be able to make the ultimate phone be now, but nobody bothers. It’s a to short lifespan product. Hence the short development process and cheapo materials like chips that are not up to date or programmers with false routines. What’s wrong with this Phony : 1 battery cover. 2 sturdiness. 3 interface. 4 memory. 5 software. 6 upgrades. 7 support (Man you don’t believe their website, like they have abandoned all customer rights.) And it’s more than 2 thumb wide! So why did I buy it.
Because there’s no way to try it out in the shop or get sufficient inf on the net. All these forums suck, most is adverts and egomaniacs.

I am 16 and i have this phone and i really like it, the futuristic looks are cool and my mates really envy it. The ALL metal exterior is classy and feels great. The slimness is breathtaking looking although u would forget its in your pocket and sit on it like i did! I think it is really sophisticated mobile phone. I can fit one mp3 on the v3 but I have an ipod therefore i dont need an mp3 player , i also have a 6 millon pixel digital camera, so i dont need a megapixel camera phone. The camera i think is of good quality i have to admit but its mainly just for taking quick snaps of things. This is the fone of the decade. This phone is very expensive for a teenager weighing in at a shocking £500 but its worth it in the end and it helps to have generous parents! lol

if u guys want a camera go buy urself a digital camera or u want music go buy urself an mp3 player, this is a phone for GOD sake, to make phone calls, only stupid teenagaer would go for a phone for its camera or music player. so obviously this is not a teenager phone.

Wow, this phone is truly admirable. It's better looking than any other phone on the market today and has some pretty nifty features! Sure, it doesn't have top of the range features like those on smartphones, but it's ideal for my requirements. It's really thin too! Some people also believe it's expensive - not really! Get it on a contract for free somewhere. Also, some people complain about the lack of memory for MP3s. Well, get a proper MP3 player then! My rating overall - 85 out of 100!

I’ve read a couple of the reviews and wonder if it’s worth even bothering but I’m guessing that there are other people out there that aren’t totally “into their mobile phones” as a substitute for having a life. The phone is extremely well made. No it is not all aluminium, but the plastic parts are of a good quality. This is the first Motorola phone I have had and it took some time to get used to. Being accustomed to the Nokia way, I struggled for a couple of weeks and was tempted to return it. I’m glad I didn’t! Now I can type SMS messages at a similar speed to any other phone I’ve had. It just takes a bit of time to learn the “language” as such.

The call quality is excellent and the signal strength surpasses anything I’ve seen before. I can make calls in areas I never could before and where my colleagues still can not. It’s the first phone I’ve had where the Bluetooth functions correctly with my Jabra BT250.

Down side, the phonebook is a phone number and e-mail address book, nothing more. I’ve had to purchase a 3rd party Java application (very cheap!) to store addresses for the days I’m out shopping and realise I need to buy and post my Auntie’s present!

Memory - I have loads in my PC, Pocket PC and head. Photos - I’d use a decent camera, not a mobile phone to take an image of value. Video - I’d use my camcorder. Dirty dishes - I have a dishwasher. Phone calls - My Motorola V3. It’s not perfect but it suits my needs and fits in my shirt pocket!

Previous phones: Nokia 5110, 8210, 8310, 6100 (loved it), 6820 (yuk). Panasonic x70 plus many other non-descript plastic things!

will anyone buy a motorola v3 which has low performance? ... yes:- 1)they are mostly female users who only care about the look and not performance. 2)stupid suckers who don't know anything about performance!

yeah i agree this phone is overrated, the only cool part is the slimness... I wouldn't even give it points for looking cool because it doesnt, what's up with the short screen? i don't understand, why would you cut the screen short, not only does it make it smaller but it looks retarded. the keypad is hard as hell to use since there are no buttons. you can't tell if you're pressing a button or not and that drives me insane. plus, the features suck. only vga, that's out of date now. you need at least a 1.3mp camera, at least I do. also, where's the memory? 5mb? was that a typo?

I always laughed at you guys especially when I’m reading those stupid ads by stupid people bashing a Motorola over a Samsung and vise versa. First of all I design chips for a living and half of the phones in market today haves chipsets that I worked on. To put an end to all the BS about a GSM phone having a better coverage than the other I’ll tell you this Samsung, Nokia, Motorola and the other companies use the same chipset in their GSM and CDMA phones. The only thing the company has to do is layout a phone and designs an antenna (which might affect the coverage somehow). Now you could take identical phones from any company and you will notice a difference in the reception/coverage and this is due to the chips in the phone, yes they are identical but each part varies from each other, this is called process variation (I’m not going to go over this in details). Anyways this puts away the question of performance. Now to sell more phones you have to creative designing and adding options to the phone and of course build a phone that would last. Samsung is well know for its poor plastic design that would break with couple of months, Nokia has solid phones but man they have to do something about the look of their phones. When it comes to Motorola they had the most horrible looking phones till 2 years ago when they introduced the V series. Clearly they started to gain market share again and everyday they impress people with their creativity. Now regardless of what all the bashers BS in here, the V3 is a solid phone and it has decent functions, and on cnet, MSNBC and many other sites it is voted as one of the hottest phone of the year. So my advice to you quit bashing this phone because you people sound like ignorant and obviously have no idea how a phone works, you just bought a phone one day and it was bad and you got this idea that all phones from that brand sucks, well guess what your ignorance sucks. And go advertise Samsung phone where Samsung phones should be advertised which is for you ignorant people would be the Samsung page. And yeah one more thing quit chatting this is not a chatting website. Have a life.

Ok guys, if you wish to buy Samsung crap, nobody stops you. Everybody has already judged about this phone. As you can see everyone comes here to say,"Hey I've got the best phone". Go and be happy with that Samsung crap. Remember this is Motorola's section. The best place to advertise your craps is in Samsung section in the third link of the upper left side of the page.
By the way the one who says I'm Big Pimpa is using Samsung as well, Shame for a factory to have these stup** customers.

I work for a Telcom company MTN Uganda and being a hilly country this phone has poor reception when in the outskirts of the city centre so I am disappointed with that. Since I deal with customers the best feature for me is the phonebook. We have a missed call feature on our network so I am not affected by missed calls. Otherwise for a lady it is bulky in our handbags especially in a jacket.

well as a matter of fact, i do work in a phone store and your comment is truely one of a person who has nfi. The V3 is stylish + practical for any mobile user. Stop wasting your time bashing a phone which may be expensive but is stylish + user friendly and do something more practical with your time. Go out shopping + buy yourself a CLUE!

"i know what im talking about" spoken like a person who has truly no idea. If you actually worked in a phone store you would at least aknowledge that although the v3 is a great looking phone it is drastically overpriced. It is after all just a dressed up version of the v620. Dont let owning a particular phone totally blind you to its shortcomings when posting on review sites that are supposed to give unbaised and INFORMED opinions
