I think people who complain about the lack of features on their V3s are either total idiots or just attention-grabbers who want everybody to know that they spent MONEY on their phones. I mean if I really wanted to take pictures/videos to impress my girlfriend I'd use my digi-cam! I knew that the V3 is a fashion phone when I bought it and I'm totally satisfied with it. The V3 gets my vote!

Try reading the review about samsung d500... That fone (d500) is really a great handset. Best features & simple yet cool design... Unlike the V3. Thin but wide & it lacks many features. Heheheh. (How I wish next month d500 would be available here in manila)

What the heck... only VGA camera, no recorder, no expansion slot, made in China (which is even worst than made in USA, I think). I want my money back :(. But, seriously, Motorola could have done something better for 700 $. Too bad the functions don't measure up to the design. ... hmm and now all I have to do is think of 1000 people worth writing in my agenda :))

Motorola to extend RAZR line, report
Jan 20 2005 - 10:01 PM ET | Motorola
BusinessWeek dropped a bombshell: Motorola plans to extend the RAZR V3 mobile phone into a line of high-end devices. Besides other colors, there will be a candy bar form factor of the RAZR called the Sliver.
Comparisons to the Apple iPod will surely be made: the iPod mini comes in various colors and Apple has iPods in three major form factors. The Motorola RAZR V3 also hits the same design nerve as Apple's popular music player.
Information is still vague, but Motorola should announce the expanded product line later this year.
The fast selling super-thin handset has blown away all projections with an estimated 750,000 units sold to date. All this for a device announced in late July 2004. At $499 per phone, the RAZR has generated over $370 million in revenue (Ed. note: Motorola has not announced the unit price its selling the V3 for, $499 is the market price). Motorola credited the RAZR for a boost in its healthy Q4 earnings statement.

i cant seem to figure why people buy this phone and then go mad for the features, i mean yeah it looks brill, but it can't record video, everyone seems to have overlooked this, this would have been one of the phones of the year if it only recorded video, come on motorola.

Ok, i did buy this phone and this is what i found .
No1 - This is a slim phone and confortable to wear but NOT comfortable to speak (too wide and way too flat) and to send sms (again because too wide). Also be very careful when speaking not pushing it too hard against your face or else the flip may get some slack. Motorola service ain't that good so don't be careless.
No2- It is made in china and believe me the construction seems solid but in certain areas doens't aspire confidence. The flip screen can become dodgy after a while by taking some slack and the battery compartment clip can get very squicky aswell.
No3- The features motorola has on this phone are only a show off. They are clever people and do not want you to think you're spending that kind of money just for style. Imagine, why use an mp3 player with 5mb of memory only ? Why use a very mediocre camera ?
In other words these features are just a smart move from M.
3. This is unique phone but not as unique as they want to pass off. Nokia 7280 is another "unique" phone and while i hate that desing i find it way too uncoventional. The V3 passes as the slimmest phone , which is true, but it is quite wide actually and while folded it isn't soooo slim as it seems to be
No4. The menu is same as my v300 and to be honest got bored with it rather quickly
All and all, this is just a fashion phone with a smart design. I bought it because it just looked good to me. And believe me i paid £200 only. More and more the price is falling on ebay and after a while the model will be quite popular. In other words if you try to look "unique" there is a time limit.
I would suggest this phone only to people that like the design , don't use their mobile alot and want something to be comfortable at wearing.
Any one that fall out of this category, stay away

I fully agree with Guy!
As for the rest of you who thrashes V3 after buying it, I guess there is only one word for you as consumers and that word has to be "IDIOTS"!
V3 is for style and elegance and if you are shoppinga round for features in phones, try Sony's 700i or P 910 phone.

the motorla v3 razar has 2 b one of the coolest fones out so far. its design is amazing and its got a huge display. the disapointing thing is the VGA Camera. a phoen like this should have at least a 1 megapixel camera 2 compare with s700i.

what a piece of junk!!! I gotta return yesterday from a customer who purchased it 2 days ago. The display was so light yet the color was bleeding (hard to describe) and the speaker was somehow defective, even on the lowest volume setting it sounded like a 5 year old crackling speaker. No abuse suspected on the handset, looked brand new out of the box! Beware, and the price is way to expensive for just a VGA and blutooth with no memory card expansion capability, not worth even 50 bucks to me......

To Big Pimpa,
The password for the bluetooth code is 0000. To answer you about whether other bluetooth sets around would receive your message when sending the files, no it would not as you have to pair it first with your phone. Happy Pairing.

V3 is seriously for gadget lovers. I must admit it doesn't have much features compared to other phones but it is not built for that. It was built for looks, class and an eye catcher. So for the rest of you who intend to buy phones with great features, go for Nokia 6600 or Sony Ericsson P700i. If you want a phone that stands out, GO V3!
