let's me honest here.
the razr hasn't broken sales records because its a good phone. there r tons of motos that have way better performance, v635, mpx220, rokr e1 just to name a few.
its broken records because people are drawn to its style n thinness, they don't properly research or compare the phone.
i've had one and believe me, i was not impressed.
had a v620 also n preferred that tremendously.

I've just buy a RAZR v3 from 2 days and I cannot make it to vibrate.
I have try setting all the styles provided by the menu but it doesn't work .
The batteries is the problem or ....?
Could anybody help me please !

it does not have expandable memory but the new one v3i does

This phone hardley has any memory im just wondering if i can get a memory card for it so i can put more songs on to it. Can someone please write back to me so they can tell me cause i really want to buy one.

caz if it is only the v3 you have and not the i or x then cut your losses now. are you aware of the memory shortage on this phone i would get yourself something like a k750i or d600 i've had this phone it looks wonderful but i had two songs on it and memory was full. get yourself something stylish and functional

Ok, i have just purchased this phone the (pink one) now in actual fact is this or is this not a good phone..... I have never had motorola before and i am currently using hte samsung d500, and have no problems... so before the deal falls thro can some tell me if its a cool phone or not.

wether or not you charge your battery properly in the beginning is not life or death it used to be with old batteries on the likes of the nokia5100 but with the new lithium ion batteries it will make very little difference so dont rush out buying a new battery. your battery life should improve each time it is totally drained and recharged

get with the program its a phone! you want a camera buy one u wanta mp3 player buy an ipod u want a video recorder buy one! all u guys are complaining and i bet you all fill the memory with photos and video... save your contacts on the sim mine holds 1,000 (smart Philippines)and phone memory is vacant! THINK ABOUT IT GUYS

I recently purchased the Razr V3, I was having problems with the phone going dead after only using the phone a few times. It seemed that the battery was bad. I would charge it at night and take it off about 7am, by 1pm it was dead and needed recharged. Also, the bluetooth Jabra wasn't working properly. There was a lot of static. I went to my service center and they exchanged it out for a new phone and it works a lot better. The battery still only lasts about 12 hours and I only make 4-5 phone calls all lasting around 15 minutes. It seems to interfere with my radio when i have it plugged in to the car charger??? has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know if my battery should be lasting longer. I think i read where someone only has to charge their phone every 5 days????

Please stop asking "how do I use the mp3?" this phone is not a music player, you might have read that it has mp3 ringtones, meaning it can support ringtones with mp3 format, but it will hardly play an entire song at all. It's internal memory is only 5.5 MB, mind you it's not expandable. A single song of good quality (bitrate) will range from 3.5 MB - 7MB. Don't hope for a music player, if you do, buy something else.

Yo to the person who said that their fone shuts down a lot and that motorolas suck...its becuz ur a noob and didn't charge your battery for 10 hours immediately when you bought your fone. the reason your fone kept shutting down was becuz the battery was bad, absolutely nothing to do with ur fone itself.. and I'll admit that cingular service is sometimes very weak and that they feed u some bs sometimes, but you could have found that online and solved the problem with a new battery.
Anyways I love my razr, I had the dust under the screen problem, but I contacted the warranty people and they send me a brand new problem free fone in under 24 hours. great fone.

we aren't behind persay LOL we dont' have the techonlogies first yes, you are right about that.... but the ones that do have em aren't really taking that much advantage of them...VIDEO CALLING hasn't caught on anywhere there its avaiable (neither has VIDEO calls in your home phone remember USA has had it for years LOL) and i mean we have 3G already in 3 of the 5 mayor carriers and the last 2 are about to deploy...and the band thing...well he had already asigned the 900/1800 bands to emergency unites so we had to use the 800/1900 bands that's the reason he had those band FIRST LOL. and about the att/cingular american idol thing...is the same thing if you are ATT or cingular you both can TEXT for legal purposes the ATT wireless name cannot be advertise!

1800-801-1101 file a claim get a new RAZR no charge just make sure you are under 1 year if not the and "early upgrade" and get a new one at a discounted price...
bottom line the razr has been sold for over 1 year.... how many phone model's have done that ...not many... the razr broke the "sales" record that the STARTAC set which was the higest selling phone EVER... so the razr ROCK...period

Just got a V3 a few weeks ago, but I can't seem to receive video or picture messages. It keeps trying to "download" them and then fails. Anyone else with this problem and how can I fix it?

Answer to Nicks response.
The answer is that you need a Tri-Band phone.
When family comes overto Los Angeles from England they still text their friends back in England back & forth.
You have to accept that the USA is way behind the rest of the world when it comes down to features on your phone.
For example, Last year, you could text your Idol votes with AT&T. This year it won't work because the show changed it to Cingular Wireless. How lame is that? Isn't it time the USA got caught up with the advances you find in the rest of the world?

Three Major Defects Found with me and four others of my friends RAZR V3
It drops the call all sudden, when you are talking with someone
When you are not calling just flip open your phone and put the ear receiver on your Ear and listen, you will get always static sound like ultrasonic sound coming our from ear piece. I Tested wilh 6 different RAZR V3 all has same problem
It interfare with Car Radio and Speakers of your PC always.
I called Motorola they tried to hide this problems, if you have same problem please call Motorola at 1800-331-6456 and inform them the problem

its not just the v3 that turns itself on and off, all motorolas do it through time

It's a good phone! Very interesting to have one. Display is crystal clear, good looks, good sound and PC syncronization.
I dont understand why some critics would bash this phone and would otherwise advice people to buy a Nokia instead. Poor ignorants! If you would advice people not buy a Motorola, be reasonable at least to recommend a Siemens instead. But never a Nokia that is never better than anything.
