bek, if it prompt accept when your about to download, press it, it will download the ringtone, once completed, it will then prompt u to store(save). Enjoy.

I use to love this phone but recently I've been having problems with it.
Often times when I answer an incoming call the screen freezes and afer and 30 seconds it shuts off. To get it working again I have to remove the battery and replace it.
Also, I can't even hold many songs in it anymore. I use to hold 100, but now it says the memory is full. I have no songs on my phone, but in iTunes it says I used 376 mbs. I can't figure out why. I've deleted everything on my phone besides my contacts and text messages but still no luck.
It's frustrating. I don't know if I like Motorola anymore! :(

Hi Bek! I have this phone for almost two years now...So i think i know pretty much about this. Anyways, about your question how come whenever you try to download a ringtone, it doesn't ask where to save, that means the downloading didn't push through.ROKR E1, does not support WAV. MP3,yes. You wouldn't notice the error at first because you would see the progress (% completed) on your screen. But the real test whether it's successful or not is if you hear the tone after downloading. After which, you now have the option where to save. Hope this helps

I need someone's help....Whenever I download ringtones, the phone never ask me if I want to store (save) it to my phone therefore I never get my ringtone. How can I fix this? ANY SUGGESTIONS?! Thanks

i work at a store that used to sell the phone. so i 'broke into' the display model demo and took the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor which it had and now use normal headphones which sound waaay better. although i cant use it as a handsfree anymore. lol
btw
i also 'broke into' a creative zen demo box and took some awesome headphones. lol
hurrah for taking advantage of the situation!

not liking how it wont register music files from a memory card as a ringtone.
but
its still awesome.

JOEHAN, have u tried installing your itunes software disc on your pc? if not, installing it will allow your computer to recognize the itunes application on your phone. Any problems? Holla.

It's a very wonderfull phone to listen to mp3 songs. It's simple, basic, but it fits good for music lovers.

I found this to be a very reliable phone. However within 1 month the port for the charger didn't always work as well as the port for headphones stopped working. Apart from that it has awesome audio. I found the internal memory was inadequate (far too small). I had to edit mp3's so they'd fit so I could use them for ringtones. It does have external memory card slot but you can't use and external memory mp3 for a ringtone. well i couldn't anyway. i love that with this phone you can lock access to things. I used to have very untrustworthy friends that would read my text msg's. If i want I can lock it so nobody but me can access it. I'm now getting the K3. Hopefully that has the same great features minus the bad ones.

Best phone after E398 era. The price, the quality, the feature appropriate with what we need from a basic phone. Why I call this basic phone? Because out there so many phone with better feature but also higher price :p It's all I can get with my budget. I only need listen to the music with good speaker and also when using handsfree. The bass surround really2 come out.

The problem not come from the phone but from your card reader or your memory card. I suggest you can format the microsd using another card reader or from the phone itself to know which one is the source of problem.

try downloading itunes revolution 4 at http://www.e398mod.com , that's the a modded itunes with extra (mediaviewer,sound recorder...). Download motomidman on the site also, these programs can be gotten on the left side under pc software. If u are having problems, post your reply.

I've been trying to transfer music mp3's to my transflash via its adapter thruogh a generic card reader but it doesn't work...syas card is write-protected but if I had it formatted thru the card reader it says unformatted on the phone itself. I guess you could not paste anything via a card reader...is that right?
