Dear all

aswering the question:
1. MP3 File as the ringtone
ROKRe E1 can NOT access MP3 file stored in I-Tune application. files encripted somehow with different names.
To set a mp3 file as a ring tone. Copy a mp3 file to T-flash with Card reader(mmc adapter included, or use USB cable, WinXp detects automatically. copy to \\mobile\ringtone.
disconnect phone from pc or put back t-flash into phone.
Switch on phone, go to multimedia-sounds.. you must find the files you've sent.
press menu button (in middle up of keypad): copy: 2 option comes up : phone & bluetooth, select phone.
this file copied to phone memory
back to list of files-press menu button-Switch storage device- to option comes up : TRANS & Phone, select phone
You'll find MP3 file you copied, press menu button-Apply as a ring tone-Chone line-1 or line-2.. then finish!
P.S : ROKRE E1 only has 5 MB internal memory, so you can only put 1 file MP3, unless you split file as short as possible just enough as a ring tone
JUST WONDER IF THE ARCHITEC OF THIS TYPE EVER THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE THEY PRODUCE

2. Put MP3 file to Phone for I-Tune application.

Install I-Tune program on CD (included), I-Tune program will show up. COnnect yourphone via USB to PC, Program detects automatic and makes 1 chategory on list of I-Tune, LIst several mp3 files on LIBRARY, by clik 2x on mp3 files on Windows Explorer. files will be listed on Library
Update Phone from Library,
then mp3 files syncronized to phone, it takes 2 minute/song.

Just bought this phone, not bad, just a pity Mp3 ringtone must be stored in phone memory not in ex-memory, Mp3 files in I-tunes can not accessed as ring tone, this is a STUPID idea, a phone with MP3 player but cannot put any mp3 as a ring tone.
Question : I have hundreds of phone book that save and Address book in Outlook express, how to syncronize it to phone book
I used to have K508, this proses done a piece of cake
or there is a SW to sync, CD found in pack apparently only for I-tune thats'all
    Please help

just bought ROKR. is it me but i cannot get itunes to recognise the phone. the usb settings are set to memory card as a default but it just does nothing. is this a problem anyone else has had? It will accept mp3s in the sounds menu by dragging them across from my music but this cuts out itunes altogether and it might as well not be there!!!. Apart from this problem it has been ok so far.

This phone rocks. music is pretty clear, battery never dies, club lights are so wicked. what i don't like about it is that its a bit too long, it's laggy and the iTUNES function is a bit hard to use.

anyone that has this phone, please give me any tips as to how to CHOOSE which songs you want to put on your phone? i use the autofill button which randomly selects the songs for me. any ideas would be really helpful, thanks!

Nice phone but i'll wait for the E2, my contracts not up for a few months.

The transflash adapter allows you to plug the trandflash card into a memory card reader. I think that the adapter is the same shape as an SD card, could be wrong though.

Ok, I work for Cingular Wireless and I MUST say this... from the 25+ E1's that i've sold in the past few months... 15-20 of them were either returned or exchanged. This is a HORRIBLE phone and I highly advise anyone not to get it

THIS IS THE WORST PHONE OF 2005. Well, on the marketing side atleast. It is over-hyped and touted as THE cellphone version of IPOD. Well, the consumers and the critics have spoken. They hated this ROKR E1. It is an obsoletely spec'd music phone. What in the hell was Motorola thinking when they released this piece of S@#t?! SE's K750i and W800i was announced and released prior to this E1 and they have what? 2mpx cam with auto focus, 34mb internal memory and unlimited MP3 capacity. ROKR's arsenal: a lousy VGA cam, a very low internal memory and the biggest shocker of all.. only max of 100 MP3 song can be put in it via i-Tunes website. In asia, 50 is the max. 50??? can you imagine that? Licensing my a@@, Hyping the phone as an itunes/ipod phone and then crippling it with limited MP3 download capability is bullS***. Granted it is priced lower than K750i or W800, but in its price range is the W550i and N6230i, both with 1.3mpx cam and all you can fill MP3 memory.

I just got the phone yesterday and i am still working it out. So far i am pleased with it. The earphones are a bit big but the sound is excellent out of the speakers as well. Overall a good phone havent found anything wrong with it yet!

I was kindda wondering, isn't it possible if u get a flash card reader,n then put al the songs into your hp using it?Doesn't that save u more space?Isn't that more convenient than using the itunes?

Well, after looking at the features of The Rokr E1, i went to check it out on a local phone store, when i was going to say i'll take it, the shop keeper said that the charge plug is very fragile and if it fails, the phone is not going to live for another 30minutes, that is why i did not choose it, =\
