hi quest...
again i back to ultimate..i think this one is the best suitable firmware for e2 that can be modded and in the same time with long battery life..thank u very much about zmplayer edit file u sent before i used it and now i can play video up to 25 fps and 500mhz the default e2 player plays up to 15 fps and 280mhz as i know (ramadan karim)in arabic or (happy ramadan)..

the photos camera is good but the video is poor..i hope what u mentioned come true.. what happen if motorola add 3G camera in e2 and increase its camera to be 2 or 3.1 mega pixel and let the device with no change it becomes rokr e3?!

Yes i agree that the weakest point of Motorola is its camera. But I am sure that they will advance in that direction a lot since now they made a 10 year contract with Kodak. I think they have started to advance. Just see Z10. Its 3.2 MP and has autofocus.
However it is still far from its competitors in this view. But just imagine Motorola becoming the best in camera phones. Will there be anything left to compare with them in anything else?
Time will come. Nokia and Sony Ericsson knows that :)

u agree with me quest that the most weak point in rokr e2 is its video camera..n73(with 3.1 mega pixel) beats e2(with 1.3 only) in this point..i was so angry..the music player of e2 is the best no way..the resolution is wonderful..the software(katz or ultimate) is better than latest symbian ones...the lake of 3G technology is a bothering matter too...

Long time no see :). The skins I like most are:
1. Eyes in the Dark
2. The one that comes with ultimate. I don't know the name
3. Ubuntu (But it need many improvements)
4. I don't like the stock (Alkali) too
Yes you can extract the skin from the firmware. I think you can do that with samba (telnet). Just go and copy paste the skins from the folder where the skins are. This is where the folder is in katze3 and ultimate "\ezxlocal\download\appwrite\skin" but in kaleidoscope I dont think its the same folder. Since I dont use kaleidoscope now I cannot help you but if I find the skin I will send it to you by email

what is the best skin u like 4 e2?
if there are skins bounded with the firmware how could to extract them only? i like so much the skin came with kaleidoscope one but i don't
like the firmware itself..i like eye in the dark skin(i install it in every firmware i flash) & beautiful moto one.. i don't like any way the default one alkali.. do you?

Good phone! Nice sound, high volume.
The battery is a little problem, because doesn't stand for too long... Even though, very good phone!

ya quest i tried Kaleidoscope yesterday but as they said has bugs..the appearance is very good but i tried it for 5 min only! after that i turned to kat3..i am waiting to next update of it...

adriangatillo launched his final katz 3 yesterday ..very nice firmware i think he made good efforts in this one.. plus ultimate properties he added many useful things the firmware is different from the beta one..faster and more flexible..etc you should try it

I think you can use ZMplayer, but i am not sure. However since you are not in a modded firmware try this:
Step 1: Download ZMPlayer
Step 2: Unzip the file .mpkg so it will create a folder with the files.
Step 4: Connect your phone in Memory Card mode, and go into the .system/QTDownLoad/ folder on it and place the zmplayer folder you just uncompressed in there.
Step 5: Open the .system/Java/CardRegistry file using Wordpad. You will see a file with lots of string corresponding to each of the midlets installed on your phone.
Step 6: Copy this:

This way works, because I installed it this way.

hey quest, can i use the zmplayer software even if my fon isn't moded? man, im having problems with this. i'd go to forums and everybody has something to say. then things get a lil' confusing. i just need one clear guideline. been to e2mod.com and it's still the same thing. your help will b pretty much appreciated. ROKR for life.
