Could anyone tell me if it is possible to connect this phone to a laptop thru bluetooth and go use it as a modem to go online? I have Nokia 6270 and I use it as a modem for my laptop, but I have to use the USB cable to connect.

Hello, I am now using this phone for more than 1 month. Here are my opinion to the phone:
Positive: 1. Touchscreen- Works smoothly even when using fingers for Handwriting recognition.
2. Sound quality - very good- Still e1 has better sound.
3. Application downloads: Unlimited- coz of java support. I have already installed more than 20 applications including games, WINAMP for e6 etc.
4. Camera quality is OK. Though a flash would had been better. But works pretty good even in Night mode.
5. Video shooting- Can shoot both in QVGA and CIF modes.
6. Supports stereo Bluetooth which obviosuly reduces the headache of carrying wires with you.
7. Navigation is better.
8. Supports MS office viewing with a Picsel Viewer.9. 3.5 mm stereo jack for connecting the mobile directly to your speakers. I have used this function and works very well.
9. Lot of resources on the net by which you customise the phone to your need. Including enabling Barcode Scanning (2nd Generation), EDGE enabling, Quad band compatibilty.
I have compared the handset with Nokia N73 and Palm Treo 700. It is much better than the two for sure.
I dont understand y people are intrested in the OS as applications are more on Java now. it does not matter what is the OS. Also Linux is more stable than Symbian or WIndows. My handset has not hanged in the past one month
Lot of Nokia users in my office actually like the phone more than their phones. Not a surprise to me anyways.
All in All a good handset with a good feature and very good price.

i have been with this phone for a week now , and im gonna post the pros and cons
++++touch screen - for people that are tired of normal phones , the touch screen is really fun and good , and you can use your finger for almost everything
++++sound quality - really good , works well and its pretty loud(and the realplayer is really better than that itunes crap , i didn't have a good experience with itunes last time)
++++camera - for people who wanna carry a camera all the time in your pocket in case of need , its good.
++++photo edictor , bluetooth , calendar , etc.. it works well
++++its slim , it goes fine in your pocket
----flash , unfortunately it dont have flash on it.
----wifi , would be better if it had wifi on it.
well , this phone is for someone who wants to have a mp3 player , a +or- camera , and a touchscreen cell phone TOGETHER , and NOT EXPENSIVE !!!

N73 looks like crap, it's a fat ugly no stylish phone...
This beauty shall not be compared to such phone disgrace... Wanna all those megapixels, forget phones already and go buy a nikon.
I tried (haven't bought it yet) texting and its not that difficult, I even used my fingers and it was neat (and I have big sized fingers)
I'm deffinitely getting one.

Hello everyone,
I bought this mobile 2 weeks back and I am pretty happy with the performance and UI since it is Linux based.
Most of the software are useful specially OMR reader which scan visiting card.
Sound quality is excellent.
I would recommand you buy this.

n73 is a far better phone and it is cheaper 3.2mp cam . dual cam and looks damn good

Its becomes slow when an audio file is played and scrolling the playlist is damm slow.

i bought this phone last May 20, 2007 to replace my 2 year old Motorola A780. I really liked the built, the speed, the sound, 2GB memory which is cheaper nowadays and a lot more... Camera is just average as well as the video... You may or may not use your stylus since it is really easy to use... i'll just upgrade the software when people from www.motorolafans.com release a new one this June or July I think.
This phone is really cool and elegant particularly for men.

I am planning to buy the ROKR E6 and from reading the opinions I figured that some modifications are needed for it to have EDGE. Could anyone who has already done it tell me how to make it an EDGE enabled phone? Thanks.

What is the framerate of recorded video in cif or qvga res. and framerate and highest supported res. of video playback???

Application can be installed...this phone is way better then 6233 maybe onli for the 3g feature this phone fumbles a bit...and did u know...comparism were done...and moto rokr series phones sound quality(excluding e1) were the best...and came in the closest to the ipod nano's...???

got mine 3 days back! looks great... UI is really awesome. very easy to use. some ppl mentioned problem with composing messages. i guess that takes a bit getting used to (as I was graduating from a t610 that used t9 texting) but I guess MOtos predictive texting is also cool (i have gotten used to texting using the tiny keyboard now and its not a bother at all... in fact its probably more comfortable esp for us in India as we txt in hindi a lot and that is a pain in t9). moto also remembers ur most often used words.
Today I installed iphone theme and its works great! Interface looks quite like iphone!
Negatives:
1. real player! quite slow and dab. interface not as cool as sony walkman ones
2. i couldnt find a way to text to a number not in the phone list! maybe just me... need to figure out that

Great phone i even got one for my girlfriend...got the A760 too its the same platform but this phone is way way much better...
