I only sync via Motorola phone Tool, for contact, calendar, music, ringtones and etc.. Using the Phone Tool, I can actually direct where the song should go to, either Phone or Memory card and you can even create new folder to store different audios.
I've not synced directly via Windows Media Player so I won't be able to pin point the problem you were facing, hope the above helps.

I found yesterday that the album art is only supported on .mp3 files. Not on .m4a or .aac files. What a bummer.
NOW I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM :(
Media library is not refreshing songs on the phone memory. Has this happened to anyone? I transfer songs as I've been doing normally (Memory card mode) and then I tried with Media Sync mode also, but only some of them appear on the media library of the phone. If I put them on the MicroSd car I don't have that problem. :( :( :(

E8 is the successor of E2, which is only a "half smart" phone. No touch screen, but with the "scroll wheel". E8 supports up to 8GB external memory plus built-in 2GB memory, making it a total of 10GB memory. E8 has horizontal 2.0" display.

I... morehaving the same problem, no art work appearing. showing on my windows media 11 player but no showing on phone. also not able to downsize music for message tones will not show up anything when i click on the album in the preview box, when in melody maker. no problems with transfering my photos. any help please.

what do I have to do for my e8 to show the album art ?
I use .acc files generated on Itunes, and I also use the Itunes id3 tag editor to add album art to my songs when it's needed. I have a new e8 since yesterday and for the love of everything I know I don't know why it doesn't display the album art !!!!!!
Also, sometimes ( it's happened once yesterday, and once today ), sometimes the player just stops and I can't reproduce any other song unleast I turn off and on my phone again. ( It gives me some error saying that the player is busy or something like that if I try to play another song )
Finally, how much does the battery lasts for you while playing music ( overall ). I find the duration of the battery quite a let down IMO. I had so many expectations for this phone :( !!

If you want to record calls all you need to do is to press and hold the green call button once you are on call. For voice recording go to multimedia then choose voice recording. :)

i'm following with these opinion from the past one month now..and i'm dying to buy this phone...i'm using the L7 from the past 2 years and need a serious upgrade looking forward to buying this one.. but wanted to know whether u can install themes in E8 ..and how can u do it...

in most cases as i have tried some other brands...more or less, sound quality when listened to headsets are pretty good...
but you will feel the difference when you tested it with some amplifiers or with its built-in speakers...
N82 has stereo speakers, but it seems not so good when it was attached to amplifiers...well its not really a music phone...se walkman has a good piece of headsets and so good when listened using it, but poor really with built-in speakers...thoguh they might crush my neck to see this post...lol...but they will surely agree it is...coz my have se walkman and still he said it was beaten with my music phone(it is a not so popular branded phone)...tried w230 of motorola...and i say, it has great sound quality using headsets...

Stuart, 04 Oct 2008With W230 & Crystal Talk, did you find any differences in t... morewith my w230, i tried to use it with my fathers sim pack...it is an unlimited call and sms package...so not to worry on call and sms fees...i tried to call my gf, and she said that he can hear me well, all of it, even those bedroom like whispers (joke)... yes it is for real, crystal talk is really the best...my father has tested it, well he using nokia phone, and he told me where i was because he hears nothing in background....
to motorola: ty for that crystal talk techies...
to stu: no more assumptions or whatever, this is now a real thing....

I've tested myself, found the Crystal Talk much better but that's my view so if I can get more feedbacks from more people, then it's confirmation instead of opinion. We can then talk with conviction.

Stuart, 03 Oct 2008First of all many thanks for your support at ZN5's review s... morety mate...lol...yeah really that anonymous guy must have been smoking if he would think we ganged him up...anyway, we are not related in any way, coz we are not all employed by motorola...but honestly i owned one motorola...the w230...that is the reason why im now craving for more on motorola...the fact that im not from a well-to-do family and im not earning yet ( im a student without school fees due to the scholarships that i have enrolled), makes me think a lot of times on what to buy...with my w230, i really have a nice experience with it...i own three phones for now, motorola w230, alcatel ot-s853 and nokia 2626...all of them having no scratches due to intensive pampering...
when i noticed e8, i really want it, but the high price hinders me from buying, thats why when i heard that em30 is less expensive, that is why im waiting...and should zn5 have good music, then ill settle for zn5, but i guess, em30 serves my budget...coz im planning to sell the other handset...hahaha just to make it to em30...goodluck stu and GOD BLESS you and your family
