I didn't want to post this remarks there as I do not want "Anonymous" to feel we all "gang up" against him - the fact that we are not these type of people. Just not interested to start any vocabulary war there.
It's alright if you're not a Motorola user yet but your comments in V8, E8 and ZN5's site indicated you're a good & reasonable person. Honestly I've used Motorola's old Microtac 8700, Z3, V8, now E8 and I really came to like Motorola phones. Maybe I'm weird, my priorities in choosing a hand phone are its solid built, clear voice conversation, noise suppression technology (Crystal Talk), long battery life if possible and strong signal reception. I'm sure some other phone brands have part of what I'm looking for but I discovered that Motorola have most or even all that I'm looking for. Just yesterday my wife (K550i) called my daughter's phone (K750i) and I talked to her using K750i, while talking I suddenly realized that the sound that I'm so used to was gone, I mean the sound quality that I'm so used to when using my Motorola phone. My wife is so used to her SE K550i and when she hold my E8, she admitted the built quality is really solid. I spoke to someone in local Motorola's Technical division and he told me they used to conduct drop test on their phones so this could be the reason why they are built well. (don't be mistaken, if falls from a high place I'm sure it'll still break) The E8's really serving me well, I found that the more I use it, the more I like it and its slim factor is just nice for my pocket. It's good that you wait for a few models to test before buying one so that you can choose the one you really like and not regret about it later. Let us all know which one you choose and you feedback on it after use.

im sorry to tell you but im not yet an owner of the E8, coz im still waiting for the em30 and zn5 to come in my place... but more or less im really fascinated by the ophones produced by motorola and people like you who can give extra help...what i have now is an alcatel phone, the ot-s853...it is a music phone and a tough one.hehehe...
hoping that zn5 and em30 will be in my place this month to compare prices of the three...

i bought this phone from 2 days and i have to say its great!!!!! everything is good except the camera its not that bad but not a good one but who cares? this is a music phone and it has done its job very well plus its so sexy!!!! the dark black color from the front makes it a true beauty... the battery is very good and the sound is amazing and the screen brightness is really strong and has vivid colours.. the phone price is $340 here in dubai and this price is just cheap for such a great phone!!!if u want a music phone this is the perfect one for u dont think about it just buy it!! keep the good work MOTO...

I'm considering buying this phone but I want to know about games
Does it support Java?
Can I install emulators as in the A1200? (they both are linux based, right?
I haven't found any app nor games at 320 x 240 screen resolution, can I still install a 176 x 220 resolution game?

i bought this beauty today....... its absolutely brilliant fone frm moto.. its sound s 1000 percent better tan any nokia and sony... but its head set sucks.. using some other hesd set or e6 head set its absolutely mindblowin... NO REGRETS ON BUYIN IT...... MOTO LL RULE NOW...

The camera could have been better in order to take advantage of its epic progressive zoom when viewing saved pictures. But, remember this is like a prototype phone, a darn good one. If it has a very good camera, what's the use of my newly purchased Kodak 7mp camera? I'll just wait for future Motorola phones that will combine every good aspect of the previous ones.

after been searching high n low for themes for motorola e8 i finally 1 site which has about 5 themes. they have just modded a few themes so good luck to u guys who are bored like me with the current sole theme on the phone. the website are www.motohell.com

i have this phone for the past 2 months.Th camera quality sucks. its lik a VGA cam. Music quality is good but battery back up sucks

reig03, 29 Sep 2008hi.. i am planning to buy this phone.. but could somebody t... moreThe camera is alright, but if you starts to compare with other 2MPs with flash or autofocus and 3MP or above, you'll be disappointed - it's quite normal. If camera is important to you, try looking at ZN5, the price is slightly more but worth a look. Your final decision will eventually be made based on what you want. The ROKR E8 is a "special" phone is its sense, the first to introduce Morphing keypad with haptics and FastScroll Wheel. I showed to a friend who bought the Nokia ExpressMusic recently and purposely locked up my E8 (at night outdoor, the best time to show). He took my E8 and wonder what to do with it for a few seconds bcoz it's completely black, can't see a thing. I then unlock it, suddenly everything comes to life and showed him the morphing keypad (disappears after music button activation). He was in awe, we tested the music quality for both after that.
If you are looking at the wow effect as above, the E8's for you but if camera's more important, check ZN5 out.

Imported Video has playback problems on the U9 and E8 (this if uncorrected by Motorola will replicate itself in future handsets).
Mp4 Videos if not of the same resolution split the colour of the display like an old 3D Movie ie you can see red and green shadows.
3gp from other sources including phones do not always play. Frame rate problems and bit rate problems.
The Album Art option on both phones is great full screen.
Interface is cool too a much improvement from original motorolas.
Predictive Texting is more T9 than itap now.
Camera is so so but its not autofocus which it should have been. Xenon Flash and 3G would have been nice and Stereo Sound speakers too.
Otherwise great mobiles.
Can others also comment please on compatibility of video importing and free software to over come this problem.

My name is sam and i am using this phone and i wll only say about its camera quality that its outstanding and you will good to know this that its is far better than any other music phone and also shot good quality of pictures... now tell me do you want any other mobile with so many features in such a reasonable rates..JUST HAVE IT MAN AND JUST KNOW ONE THING THAT YOU HAVE THE SEXIEST PHONE EVER MADE..!
