why dun u just use the "edit" to add number instaed of "add digit"?about the change mode in message,i dun have this kind og problem also.About the pic captiuring, after u captured the right soft key is to store ur pic.And no option to send pic and sound via bluetooth?!are u sure it is L7 or L6?if urs are l7 then u go to ur selected pic or sound then press menu, then press move, there will be option to send via bluetooth.

                    Now for the bad...

My first phone was a Motorola. Swore off them but now bought this one. Should have stuck to it...

Motorola has no idea how to design an interface.

Badest point: The phone book does not support multiple phone numbers. There is an option to "Add number" but it actually creates a second, independant entry.

Message composing: The intelligent entry is horrible. Press the mode change button a few dozen times but you'll stay stuck in same mode. The option to switch to abc entry mode is hidden in a deep menu.

Pictures: Great pictures, I'll concede. But ugly UI. When you take a picture, the 1st menu option is to send it in message. Normally, one takes a bunch of pics, deletes a few and only sends a couple; so the first option should be to save.

There's no option to send pics or sounds via Bluetooth.

The headset uses a non-standard connector. Why?

The sync software was written by someone with no earthly idea of MAPI programming. Try this: Sync your phone, then switch to some other Window profile. That will royally mess up your Outlook.

Strong advice to Motorola: Look at Nokia for software & UI design, not your boardroom monkeys.

(multiple phone numbers for contacts are stored separately)

thats another probelm, it is amazing how motorola overlooked this dumb feature...thats also why of the reason i avoided motorola and buys nokia

i luv the design and slimness, but there's 3 things that makes me not to buy the phone:
1....no note-taking capability...clearly unacceptable, especially if its the only phone u have
2...crude, imported menu and icons from older phones (compare to elegant design from SE and nokia/samsung)..the icons looks too big and drawn by some schoolboys
3...vga camera..again unacceptable in this price range

motorola is clearly trying to cut corners and shortchanging customers

Can anyone answer these questions about the SLVR L7:

                              1) How many text messages can be in the in-box until the message capacity is filled?

                              2) Is there anyway to display one name with the numbers (home, work, home2, fax, etc.) "inside" that name with one primary contact number present, or not at all, just the name?

                              3) Can I input actual physical addresses into the SLVR L7 along with email address and attach that to a name?

                              4) What is the capacity of the text messages that I can save?

                              5) Can I assign photos to every name in my book and not run out of photo space?

                              6) The 512MB card, that counts for my photos attached to phone numbers space? mp3 space?

Thank you in advance for any answers for these questions. My email is jameskirk48@hotmail.com Thank you again

Hi there. My phone is a contract. I think this phone is the greatest phone and very good and clear camera. You should think about getting this phone because it is the best phone

Less negativity about the phone now - the interface is awful but the phone is nice! I thought the key lights were only supposed to come on in the dark? Is this only the L6 or is it a firmware thing?

I would like a digi clock screen saver for it (like my Sony Ericcson), and some strategy games rather than action. Can anyone help?

Also, does anyone know about developer software for it so I can write a new interface for it? Unlikely, but hopeful!
