This phone does a lot for being an entry level smartphone. How many inexpensive Android phones can you find with a slide out keyboard. There may be a few problems from time to time but great experience overall. If you want to have long battery life then turn off data. I use Mobile Data On/Off Toggle by Free Wing free from Android Market. What a difference! I got this phone free so no complaints.

I bought Motorola Spice in Sep 2011 and it freezes on its own and the calls are cut on their own too.The battery life is too weak and lasts for about 2-3 hours without use.The store owner told me that the software is powerful for the phone so it freezes.What should I do...I can`t even send pics on my PC

My wife and me both using this dumb phone for 1year, both phone have problem. First battery life is way to short. Internal memory is a joke, you won't find a smartphone this dumb as you can only install like 10apps most and it will run out of space. As well, it's very very slow, touch screen is not very often not corresponding to your touch due to the slow CPU and lack of internal memory.
My friend has same phone, she got pissed too. If you want a smartphone that work smoothly, stay away from this phone.

Motorola Spice is really a smartphone too slow mainly because of the GPU not be activated, but to let him just a little more usable root and download a program to speed up the CPU and leave minimum and maximum speed of 528 Mhz, download the ADW Launcher, which I think is the best for Spice, and look for any programs that "enable" the GPU, but the better is change to a REAL SMARTPHONE: p

I have it for a year and i had no problems with the phone It works great could ask for a better phone even tho it is no longer avaiable i will miss it when it comes to replace it and possibly upgrade the phone...

Our family has had 2 Motorola Spices for 1 year. 1 works fine, other nothing but problems right out of the box. Also, for a smart phone, very very slow to do anything. Save your money to buy something else

I agree this is a piece of crap!!!. When you receive a call and begin speaking it just cuts the call by itself!!! I don’t know what to do with it!! Either toss it in the garbage can or against the wall!!!!

I AM SOOOO CLOSE TO FLUSHING THIS PIECE OF CRAP DOWN THE TOLIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had it for a month and it broke. The screen stopped working, it turned itself on and off, and made random calls without me even laying a finger on it. I got it fixed, and 30 minutes later it was back to it's stupid shit. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!!!!!! It's a HUGE waste of time and money.

i hate this phone i have it and is slow, i reset always, when i turn on i wait 2 min to see the first screen :S i can not download a lot apps i can not put a lot of songs

This is the closest thing I have seen to what I want. I like the vertical slide-out Qwerty keyboard. The only thing stopping me from trading in my Blackberry for this is the fact that it does not have N wireless and the latest Android operating system!

Battery life is pitiful - I have hardly made it a whole day even with light use. Speaker on phone is weak so it is hard to hear with even moderate background noise. Screen harx to read in sunlight Appears to have a lot of software running in the background. On the positive side, manages multiple e-mail including my work Exchange account and is great for texting. As a phone, however, if I could return it, I would - it has a lot of gadgets but is a poor phone

I got this phone in China about 2 weeks ago for about US$215, unlock without contract. I tested and yes, I can open the slide to answer calls and close the slide to end calls.
My friend helped me to flash the Brazil ROM.
