Mine (v360) has no problem seeing 1 gig memory
card I bought from newegg for 10.99. Also the patriot card I bought was much faster and solved intermittent problems when viewing 3gp video. Only con is when you launch media player it takes a while (30 secs) to rebuild the media lists in the phone. Overall I love this phone.

Jahed,
Yeh, you can use MP3 Ringtones/music for incoming messages and alarms. You can store you sound files on either the phone's memory or the memory card (I recommend the card as it has nearly 60mgs more storgae than the phone itself does). If you are going to use an MP3 ringtone, the file must be stored to the phone, and if the file is good quality, it most likely won't fit on the phone's memory. You won't need the whole song in your ringtone though, so i suggest shortening it using a program (Windows Movie Maker is good enough).
You can install java games to the memory card. Install the game and then press the top middle button (the one with the four horizontal lines on it) and "Move" the game across to the memory card. You can also transfer games off your computer to the phone, using a usb cable.
Searching for names is easy. Go into your contacts and scroll, or press a button on the phone, and it will take you to the contacts with names starting with that letter (for example pressing "3" will take you to the contacts starting with the letter "d").
Hope that helps.

The phone is amazing. The most capable and customizable phone you could get for this price.
Try P2K tools (there are many) and motomidman to do whatever you may want with it.
But BE CAREFUL of what you're doing :).
You can install java apps and games, change skins, ringtones, menus, wallpapers, change phone settings (YES, the video recording length also - P2K Advanced Editor ;) ), and also flash, flex the phone... EVERYTHING.
I say again. BE CAREFUL. You might mess up the phone otherwise.
Mp3's only work with a maximum 192kbps bit rate, so be careful. With a higher bitrate there will be errors. You can find mp3 players as java apps if you don't have one installed (even a lite version of Winamp).
If you want to watch movies, convert them to 3gp - ex: 700MB avi file -> 80MB 3gp file. If you have a 512 MB TransFlash is more than enough. The image is very clear. The sound... good (because of the amr codec, I couldn't make it work with an mp3 codec)
Very good phone. Thumbs up Moto.

I had been using this phone for almost a year now. got no problems using it. it's great. clear and crisp sounds. no other phones can match this phone when it comes in playing MP3's. using motorola software makes it it even better when conected to a computer. use it as a modem to browse the internet. above all? Love your V360 phone and your phone will last a lifetime. :)
