Oh well each to thier own you could be right SE could be better and so could Sharp but i am happy with the moto. I suppose the paint will chip off anything if you put it in your pocket near keys though. (the same as dropping it wouldn't do it any good either) And for what it is (ie a mobile phone) the images i get when downloaded to my computer are pretty good, not as good as my 5MP Canon but still good. I will agree though the dimensions and size could be reduced to make it a bit more slimline but that is another thing i can live with.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!! Seriously, this is THE worst phone I have ever had!. Its bulky, its slow, the bluetooth doesn't work properly and the on silver one which I have, the paint starts chipping away as soon as it goes in a pocket with keys/money. The zoom on the camera is bad also, although the camera is okay when not zoomed in. Compared to Sony Ericssons this phone is rubbish.

the phone does have a voice recorder. You have to got to go the creqate message option first and you can record your voice save it and/or insert it in the message if you want. Bit of a round about way but oh well. MP3 quality is very good at 128Kbps acceptable at 96Kbps but any lower is a bit ordinary. This phone is brilliant had it for a month now.Just getting used to to all the funsctions now. And to the few that complain about the predictive text i reckon it works a hell of a lot better than any nokia i have had. The whole menu system and scrolling between screens is great (well i think so anyway)

how to convert the v3x to support wma files??
do i need a software update?? i never done a software update b4..so i m not sure how to do it....can anyone give some procedure on doing it....i don wana mess up my phone...

Please can some1 tell me if the v3x has a voice recorder, what color the keypad backlight is, or is it different depending on what color the phone is eg blue, black? And last what is the mp3 player like and how is the quality?

The camera on the phone is really good it take really clear pictures... it's true though the phone battery gets low very quicky and it needs chargering every day, but i'm really happy with the phone only i wish the phone was a bit smaller.

the alarm failed me three times, the alarm clock icon still there indicating that it never triggered the alarm. had confirmed that the time set was ok ... nearly missed my school. anyone encountered the same problem ?

i just recieved the blak v3x on contract. it can store mp's wma w.e. its an ok fone i didnt reli wnt it but ill hav it seein as its free nd for 6mnths its completely billess
its not bad reli i like it coz its blak (my fave color ) being an emo nd all tht. n e way overall its not bad its pretty gd i mean its thin nd blak wot moree cud a person possibly wnt

Can you stop moaning and behave!
If you we're a little patient u'd realise that the phonebook issue has been talked about 50 million times and sohave the fixes.
U got two options... go thru each contact and try to access every one... the one that knocks u back to the homescreen is corrupt.. delete it/them... or use Master Clear and delete everything if ur that impatient.
Otherwise... get a software upgrade... use 98DOR or above... go to www.motomodders.net or www.motox.us for guide details as no one's gonna explain the whole process on to you here.
ALso... to transfer pictures are so easy I'm actually annoyed that you can't figure it out.
Load up the MPT software on ur PC... connect ur phone... go into the Multimedia Section... go to ur phone Pictures Folder... select the pictures you want and click the transfer to PC button... easy peasy!
Now get a grip!

It's a bit boring "I love/Hate this phone"
I've had this phone since December.
I can't download what are good pictures I've taken with camera.
I want to & it bugs me - this phone is flawed & its a shame. It looks good. Constant problems with it - such as phone book entries one day working & next not.
If anyone can tell me how I can get the damn pictures off the phone - please do e-mail me!

for the guy with the keypad problem ...you might want to check the settings and go through the screen settings.also check and update the time n date on your phone. Or it could just be the fact that motorola has the new thing where it saves the battery by shutting down the keypad light when your in a place that has alot of light. yep~! ...try going to a dark area then go outside ....if that doesnt work return the phone while you still can and get a new one. I highly doubt you will though.
To the other guy with the v3x and cingular. ... I just think cingular sucks!! T-mobile isnt so great either, but it works pretty well with other phones. very friendly...as to were cingular isnt very good with Sony ericsson or motorola. why? ...not sure yet! they are supposed to have a global network, but like I say not every wireless company has good service. Not every phone will be perfect either ...there will be flaws. but just to give an advance ....samsung and nokia does work great with cingular....*shrugs*

I just got v3x directly from HongKong, unlocked. It works with both t-mobile and cingular, but with cingular it gets very poor reception where the samsung phone I had before had very good reception. In networks settings it gives me choice of automatic, wcdma and gsm1900, althou on the website I bought it from it said gsm900, 1800 and 1900 (plemix.com). What is wrong? should I return it? there is signal, but very weak.
