Hi there Guys
I have been reading most of the comments here, it seems like most guys say that they can record for 30 minutes with the current software and 1 hour with a software upgrade.
I have a V3x and it only records for 3minutes with the current software. Is there anyway of increasing it to 30minutes?

Hey you guys. I'm the proud owner of a V3X since a week ago. I tuned it in every way possible, from the sound (to hear way loud ... to 18 hours of recording - I think that is maximum).
I was a nokia fan untill I brought this phone but I surfed over the net, I learned a lot of thing on moto forums, like the restaring with the white screen and many other things.
I don't know if I have the permision to put forum lin in here but I can give you a lot of advices regarding this phone on e-mail.
So ... who whants help ... I will try to help.

... The phone is very good and worth his money with a little tune.

Guys given the choice of paying out US$300 for the V3i and US$400 for the V3X what would you buy? These are the prices in Thailand where I live currently. I dont care about an MP3 player or camera to be honest, I just want a good screen and menu, battery life and reception and an excellent contacts list. BTW is the menu on both phones the same? Thanks guys.

I haven't had a Motorola ever since Nokia came onto the scene... Moto's style started to get boring, uninspired, old fashion, and somtimes, childish. Then came RAZR... it was stunning to say the least, but I stucked with Sony Ericsson because the original RAZR was complete design with no substance. Recently my wife needed a 3G phone for video calling, and started to look in the market, and realized V3x is the best looking 3G phone. Got it, tried it, used it... no complaints at all except what was mentioned in the review (the wrong design of location for the camera button on the right).. if anyone is looking for a 3G (mainly for video calls) and be 'stylish' at the same time (my wife's requirement) ... there's no better choice in our opinion... :)

this phone is already out here and i'm about to get this phone but after reading the comments and opinions of others about this phone, i guess its not worth buying it. although the style and design of this phone is the one only thing i like about it.

In the 'Sweet-sour mix' of the Motorola RAZR V3X it states that the phone does not come with an earphones port. This is untrue as the phone comes with USB earphones which canbe pluged into the USB port. I was just pointing this out to those who are looking to buy the phone and have seen the review

I was always a nokia fan before i got the V3x and this is my first clamcell.I had a choice between the Nokia N90,Samsung Z540 or V3x.I have the phone for about a month now and at first i wasn't sure if i made the right choice,in the meantime my wife got a N90 and a friend got a Z540,all on Vodafone so the software is the same.Compared to the N90 the V3x is much faster, not onley in the basic menus but also downlouding. The Z540 is a lot thinner and lighter than the other two but after using all the mobiles for a couple of day's u can see why!!?In my personal opinion the Z540 is'nt even in the same category. It looks like in the "Race" for developing the thinest and lightest 3G clamcell Samsung gave up overall build quilety and features,a real dissapointment. On the multimedia side all these phone's have the same camera(not bothering with a 0.something MP here and there)but with all the 7 and 8MP digital cameras on the market i would'nt use one of these phones to capture my most memorebel moments, rather think of them as stand by cameras. The N90 has the best video recorder(Realtime player)but then again these are mobile phones not camcorders!!!Just for interest all these phones battery life is the same.Anyway the V3x got me hooked and i would recomend it to anyone who want's a no hassle mobile with lots of features.HELLOMOTO!!!!

Guys you have to charge it first three times for 15hrs minimum (NO interruptions, USB connecting etc). Mine battery lasts for 3 days, or 2 days of intensive use (intensive shooting with the camera, lots of messaging, some Mp3 use, calls, etc)

Sony v800 is the latest best phone for anyone who uses apple computers, next to that it is Nokia N series.

I believe motorola faked this one guys, i returned it and i rather have a phone that realy works with packed features, not just slim or even designed to make people think its a Rzor when it is not at all with the bubly plastic.

the Vx3 is NOT a decent flip at all, samsum 3G flips also do it better.

Razors rock, but this v3x is suposed to be there answer to a 3g Version, booooooooh moto, ,

                                    best phone in the world
i have used all makes and models. this is it. nokia's losing this battle. no battery problems, 3g video-calling 100% and software sync without a problem. well done motorola

Battery lasts 1.5 days of average use and 2.5 days of heavy use (oops - vice versa). And it's not bad, it's the best phone at its price.
