This phonebook has nothing to do with old motorola phones...Now you can search by typing the full name youra looking for.The truth is that im very happy with this v3x...is a great phone with great functions...and still have no problems with BT, it works great.

Look, if you want more juice from the battery, turn off 3G. If you guy have bad phonebook/buggy phone, exchange it or if you're daring enough reflash it/ update it. It's a new phone it's BOUND to be BUGGY, full stop. So Bear with it or get rid of it. Personally This phone is better than the sharp 903, smaller, slimmer, and most possibly lighter, yet a better build. K750i Creaks after a while, and it's all plastic except keypad (bulky part) and lense cover. I shall be getting this later so STOP WHINING PEOPLE.

Phone looks Ok and was quite excited about getting it.
Took ages due to supply problems with vodaphone. In hindsight the V3 or V3i look a lot nicer.Keys larger on V3x backlight key colour not as nice and key look and feel less flashy than V3,V3i SVLR etc.

The bluetooth is terrible. It can hardly detect any device within 1m range.

I'm lookin to get this phone when my current contract run out. I'm a big texter and wondered what the buttons were like to press on the phone.

Reading this question back it sounds very silly. But i hope you get the picture.

              Many thanks

Reading all the comments about the V3x, All functions of the phone including Bluetooth are excellent, the only issue is the battery life, when comes to charging it up within half a day, I can see Motorola acting on this problem in the near future, besides the battery I still will stand by this phone on functions and performance.

I have sold 100's of V3x and have had very few problems with returns, battery life is better than most 3g handsets expect to charge every othet day

I have just visited four three dealers in Brisbane, Australia and they have all been directed by management to advise customers that there is a battery issue with this phone and that it runs down very quickly. Any constructive comments out there from aussie users please re this? I am an emergency services workeer and long battery life is very important for me. Thanks.

I love this phone, had it two weeks and have waited a long time for it, I use it on 3 network, only problem with it, is that the battery runs flat within 8 hours, I have bluetooth activated all the time but not in use and only made a small amount of calls, the battery might need running in longer than normal or its a battery fault, as I have noticed it slide from two bars to neary empty very quickly.

Had the phone for 2 weeks now. Not crashed once. Camera quality is great, battery lasts for 2 days with fair usage no problem. Only gripe is bluetooth, as with most Motorolas can't send to other phones only recieve which is a bit of a pain. Over all very impressed

i've only ever had nokias and am hoping to get this phone when it is released by O2. does anyone know if the message storage is similar to nokia? does it have areas for folders or just an inbox and outbox? can you really only have one number per contact? and is there an option to automatically save outgoing text messages? it looks like a great phone and i hope i dont have any trouble with it.

I've noticed that when a high quality phone is beeing released, lot of people have the urge to say so many ugly and senseless things about it. Is it maybe the envy of the competitors?

Lovely phone had it for about 1 week on Vodafone. However, I have sporadically had the same jamming problem with contacts as has been described below. When this happens I delete and re-enter the contact.

Some other answers to the questions:

The correct MPT is version 4.4. This will recognise and sync with the v3x. Available as an update if you have version 4.0 or higher.

Have to consult the manual about bluetooth but I have had it working with object exchange with other phones. Be careful that you are using it properly. Remember that you need to go to the copy menu and then send via bluetooth (it is not in the send menu).

A bit shallow this but i love the fading blue light!
